Because he lost at one monthly and got super demotivated.
He beat Charles earlier in the tournament, something he had NEVER EVER done in his entire smash career and he was on a all time high and literally screaming and shouting and then later that very same tournament Charles knock him out and he got super upset and didn't even want to stay and then left before the GF's lol

Then later me and Charles were discussing who is the best in the UK and said that VA isn't an applicant for that title because he had never won a single tournament in his life so you can't be the best in the UK....and he got super offended and thought he should be and went in a baby mode and said we are saying he isn't a challenge even though those words never left our mouth, and then he moaned about him not being respected and underestimated blah blah blah and then left.

So the mixture of him losing when he wanted to win really badly and being told he isn't the best in the UK and feeling he wasn't being respected made him quit....it's obvious he would of stayed if he won the monthly even though he denies it...since he COINCIDENTALLY quit afterwards, but he is a baby

BTW this is the most informative/truthful post on the subject so don't listen to bias VA

Although the tournament isn't that hyped, they actually really good fun because there is no shortage of set ups and you definitely get a good number of games against every person there.

If you're going to moan about low turn outs, do it once you aren't part of the problem.

Boreom equals me not having fun and I had loads of fun.

you wouldn't be able to understand what was meant by my last post if I gave you 1000 years locked in a room doing nothing but trying to decipher it.

all I meant to do was give fuzzy my input on his character choice for G2, yet I can't come on SWF without getting abuse. why, on earth, would I ever bother? aside from the imminent deadline of my DOUBLE dissertations driving me to do anything I possibly can that involves not writing or reading for them

also why is there mention of pdot being gay for me in any of these posts.

Rivalry is nice, but if the amount of effort put into trolling and flaming was put into helping, we might actually make some kind of progress, especially with the top players. So the turnout was less than 15, what point are you possibly trying to prove by repeatedly pointing that out VA? And what point is everyone else trying to prove by constantly attacking VA when he posts? Is it mandatory to hold endless grudges against people around here?

and double dissertation is the WORST WORST WORST thing ever, I had a 48 hour exam yesterday and have another one just 5 days after I had in both of my dissertations. 16 days of pure hell ahead of me. It's awful.

They were nationals so even with the low attendance I don't see why the people who made the effort to attend shouldn't be rewarded. Plus the algorithm takes into account low numbers of entrants. And degrading points from tournaments that were now quite a while ago can't be a bad thing.

Make a point like this when you have an idea of what people are doing atm to help progress.
I am currently playing brawl (yes, brawl) at some game tournament every thursaday of about 20 people in Croydon and Me and Alpha Dash played melee and A LOT of them were interested in it and enjoyed seeing it and we told them about the London Monthlies and I told Fuzzy to host brawl so we can get them interested and get more people to join the scene and play both or just melee.

What Degree was saying is the exact reason why you're having to play brawl (a game you patently hate), there are ENOUGH melee players around already without having to convert new ones through playing brawl (though I see the merit of it).

The scene has undoubtedly dwindled recently, and it's clear from who posts that the online user base is ****ing appalling. Why can't you just take a hint and clean up your act online a tiny little bit? It's very very childish, more than that your arguments you gave me when I took you up on it on facebook chat proved that you were incompetent about it.

Whether or not you mean the things you say (I care little about whether you truly THINK you do or not), they are not at a complete disconnect with reality. For one thing, this is an online community, where our best players do not even want to use the communication network we have. Fuzzy, myself and edwin do not like using boards. Fuzzy told me himself he just stays out of everything. This is clearly linked to you and your posts, and this is not to mention the wider community which includes players who have completely stopped using boards and eventually attending playing because of it.

Anyway look, this is my final attempt to move on with this. I literally do not care what you think of me. You completely mistook my actions and twisted them around your own perceptions in the past. I am willing to move past everything that has been said and done in the attempt to build a better community. I want to start hosting national events in Brighton, but I will not do this if the online community continues to be a place where excessive personal abuse is tolerated. End of.

I don't understand why someone like Ben has to put up with feeling like he's being bullied online by prof, who is relentless with his trolling, when we are a community. Surely even one person who feels like that is enough to say, stop behaving this way it's damaging.

We all know what happens when you ignore prof, NOTHING. So I'm just making a final appeal to prof to change his ways, but it is highly unlikely in my mind that he would engage with this in a serious and honest way.
