The votes ended up being more or less equal, so I decided to roll Adventure and Mission mode into one mode.

Job #9: Flower and Banana Cups

Here are my submissions:
Flower CupBanana Cup

Job 9:

Flower CupBanana Cup
Yoshi Village
3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
Mario Circuit
DS Delfino Square
Bonneton Museum
N64 Frappe Snowland
Piranha Plant Garden
Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline

Since it is the second cup out of six, we still need to keep this cup relatively simple.

Shy Guy Bazaar is a great choice to bring back, while Delfino Square and Frappe Snowland could benefit from second chances.

Piranha Plant Pipeline is the only Tour course I’m backing, since all others are in MK8D.

In terms of new tracks, I suppose an Odyssey track is fine. But other than that…

Yoshi Village would be inspired by Yoshi’s Island. Not the game, but the world in Super Mario World.

Mario Circuit is in EVERY game. No explanation needed.

Piranha Plant Garden would take place in a nature park, where Piranha Plants are present.

And BritishGuy54 BritishGuy54 wins the Flower and Banana Cups! Congratulations!

Job #10: Submit Battle Modes

Any number of Battle Modes you can think of, submit them here. Same with the types of Battle Modes they can be. For me:
Balloon Blast
Coin Runners
Shine Thief
Renegade Roundup
Baby Park Brawl
  • Balloon Blast is a combination of Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast. It also has the elimination system from Mario Kart 64's Battle Mode.
  • Coin Runners now works like Shine Runners from DS, where any player with the fewest coins is eliminated. 64's elimination system is here, too.
  • Shine Thief and Renegade Roundup work as they do in 8 Deluxe
  • Baby Park Brawl has each racer fighting each other in Baby Park as they pelt each other with items for points.

Just a note that Mario Circuit was submitted as the second course of the Flower Cup, not the first. And vice versa for Yoshi Village.

Battle Mode Idea:

Double Dash Demoition Derby - Tracks are incredibly narrow and tight, think like Baby Park. Karts are two drivers per kart, like Double Dash. On the tight oval track for the first lap, there are no items, hits are supposed to be accomplished by double tapping l or r (ideally as a player playing the rear driver) and side-ramming folks like you could in 8 player double dash. After the first lap, items appear. Taking a hit drops one of your two drivers. Finishing a lap restocks one of your two drivers. Last one standing wins. Recommended for 4 or 8 Karts (4/8/16 players)

Double Dash Team Demolition Derby - Now it's just roller derby with mario kart racers. Same tight oval tracks, same bit of two drivers per kart, and first lap no items. 10 karts. Five karts to a team. Teams assign one jammer kart each. The jammer kart moves at 150cc speed, the other karts (blockers) move at 50cc each. Each time a jammer laps a blocker, they earn a point. Most points at the end of 5 minutes or first jammer to earn 40 points (lapping the other team's four blockers 10 times) wins.

I as well vote for the other submission.

If it has to be a for specific battle mode that Perk offered as opposed to his group of battle modes: balloon blast

Job 11:
Boomerang CupLeaf Cup
New Donk Parade
NS Sunshine Airport
Bob-omb Factory
3DS Mario Circuit
Funky Resort
GBA Lakeside Park
Boomusement Park
N64 Wario Stadium
New Donk Parade - A celebration in New Donk City with parade floats of Mario & friends. Kind of a feel-good track.

Bob-omb Factory - A factory where Bob-ombs are assembled. You might remember Mario Party 9.

Funky Resort - A course dedicated to everyone’s likeable bodacious ape, set on a tropical resort making it different from other beach courses, with elements such as hotels, pools, and beaches.

Boomusement Park - A course set in an abandoned amusement park overrun with Boos. Sort of a spiritual successor to Ghost Valley or Boo Lake with the pier aesthetic being present here too.

Wii U NS Sunshine Airport - We don’t have a Switch course yet. I think this one makes sense difficulty wise.

3DS Mario Circuit - I think we ought to have at least three Circuit tracks present. GCN Luigi Circuit came earlier, and I think SNES Mario Circuit 4 would be a good fit for the next cup. But for this one, it’s our last good opportunity for a Flower Cup circuit track.

GBA Lakeside Park - There aren't many GBA tracks in this range difficulty wise. Perhaps Lakeside Park is a good play since it’s Tour version is relatively simple enough, and other choices like Cheep Cheep Island or Yoshi Desert would overlap with other tracks in or could be in.

N64 Wario Stadium - The time has come. It’s time to remake this track. This track has been stuck in 1996, and we ought to give it a chance, though I imagine this is the end of N64 tracks for the base game.

Job #13: Egg and Bell Cup

Four nitro courses (Egg) and four retros (Bell). For me:
Egg CupBell Cup
Kamek Book Store
NS Super Bell Subway
Poochy Park
GCN Mushroom City
Stork Bay
SNES Vanilla Lake 2
Mount Must Dash
DS Airship Fortress
  • Nitro Tracks
    • Kamek Book Store: Based on Kamek's Library from Mario Party DS
    • Poochy Park: A trampoline park with Poochy's likeness (I got the idea from a place I work at called Urban Air Adventure Park)
    • Stork Bay (based on Mykonos, Greece)
    • Mount Must Dash (a 3-section course based on the level from 3D World)
  • Retro Tracks
    • Super Bell Subway: Same as before
    • DS Airship FortressL Visuall the same as DS, but otherwise perfectly intact
    • SNES Vanilla Lake 2: The main gimmick this time is being able to freely switch between driving on the ice and driving underwater below the ice. The crevices around the ice are opened up to allow this and the ice blocks are completely gone.
    • GCN Mushroom City: Now designed like most of the Tour tracks in 8 Deluxe, where you take a different route on each lap.

Job 13:
Egg CupBell Cup
DK Ruins
NS Wild Woods
Shiverburn Mines
GCN Mushroom City
Waluigi Scrapyard
SNES Mario Circuit 4
Bowser Speedway
DS Airship Fortress

  • DK Ruins - Our resident Donkey Kong track. It’s kind of gotta be here in some way. An evolution of what 3DS DK Jungle gave us in the temple of the great banana.
  • Shiverburn Mines - A marriage of the concepts of Mario Galaxy 2’s Shiverburn Galaxy and Wario’s Gold Mine. A mineshaft within an icy cavern and fiery pits of lava, with minecarts sound fun.
  • Waluigi Scrapyard - It would feel a bit cheap to just do say, Waluigi Pinball again. Why not a scrapheap? It feels like a possibility and would suit Waluigi in a way.
  • Bowser Speedway - I think we could use a track surrounding Bowser besides Bowser’s Castle. So a circuit or stadium track would do. We’ve never seen what a Bowser-themed circuit or stadium track would have in store, with fire bars, lava bubbles, and the classic Thwomps.
  • NS Wild Woods - A solid track that could come back. We don’t have a traditional forest retro track yet, and we need more Switch courses anyways.
  • GCN Mushroom City - I don’t think it needs multiple pathways, I just want to see it return. It’s one of the few traffic courses not in MK8D.
  • SNES Mario Circuit 4 - Likely the last retro circuit here. It’s visually different enough to justify being here. It’s a good fit here difficulty wise.
  • DS Airship Fortress - I was considering including this track next cup, but there may not be any choice better than this one. It fits way better as the final track than Mushroom City or MC4 would.

Job 12:
Dolphin Bike - the bike from Mario Kart Wii that looks like a dolphin returns
Dorrie Kart - A kart with a Dorrie head on the hood.

Job 13:

Egg Cup:
Death Wind - A third F-Zero Track.
Poochy's Crafted Course - The course looks like a mix of Yoshi's wooly world and Yoshi's crafted world in design. It's made out of arts and crafts supplies
Kamek's Magic Show - One of those "don't do three laps, do three legs of one long track" tracks, racers start by driving into the brim of Kamek's giant magical hat, and then see all sorts of magical tomfoolery inside the world within. With rabbit and broodal cameos abound.
Hammer Bro Steel Mill - A steel mill or factory with hammer bros working in the background and throwing hammers at racers.

Bell Cup:
Wii U Mute City - An F-Zero track to match an F-Zero track
3DS Wuhu Loop - I like Wuhu Island
DS DK Pass
GCN Dino Dino Jungle

I might abstain here, as I can’t really vote for my own submission, right?

I think I’d back Perk’s submission for the Bell Cup a bit more if the placements of GCN Mushroom City and DS Airship Fortress got swapped.

It’s just Airship Fortress is a little much for being the second course in the cup, and the 14th course out of 24, and Mushroom City feels a little strange to cap off the cup.

My Bell Cup submission ended up being the winner.

Job #14: Online functionality
This is another submission where you can just briefly touch upon something. In this case, how would online work?

Job #15: Star and Lightning Cup
Once again, four new (Star) and four Retro (Lightning). For me:
Star CupLightning Cup
Haunted Hotel
3DS Wuhu Loop
Kamek Book Store
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
Morton Construction
GCN Wario Colosseum
Mount Must Dash
NS Squeaky Clean Sprint
  • Nitro details
    • Haunted Hotel: Based on the Last Resort from Luigi's Mansion 3
    • Kamek Book Store: Based on Kamek's Library from Mario Party DS
    • Morton Construction: Takes place on a construction site for a race course. Obstacles and set pieces include:
      • A Chain Chomp wrecking ball
      • A mushroom shortcut with a cement mixer that acts as a glider cannon
      • A wobbly girder that grants you access to an alternate upper path, but only if you have mushrooms to spare
    • Mount Must Dash: A 3-section course based on the level from 3D World
  • Retro details
    • 3DS Wuhu Loop and NS Squeaky Clean Sprint remain as is
    • Wii Dry Dry Ruins now has anti-gravity in the section of the pyramid with the rising sand
    • GCN Wario Colosseum has been completely redesigned to resemble a Roman colosseum

Job 14: Online functions as it does in MK8D.

Job 15:

Star CupLightning Cup
Kamek’s Library
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
Lost Fungi City
GBA Broken Pier
Spiny Oasis
NS Electrodrome
Sunset Highway
3DS Maka Wuhu
  • Kamek’s Library - A library dedicated to Kamek, filled with spilled potions, haunted books, and more.
  • Lost Fungi City - Based on Mario Wonder’s World 5. The track has you go across the damp, slimy ruins, with tilting platforms and bouncy mushrooms.
  • Spiny Oasis - I don’t want to just repeat Dry Dry Ruins here, so this desert track has to be different. Just a neat little track around an oasis themed around Spinys. Beware for Spinys and Piranha Plants.
  • Sunset Highway - Our new resident traffic course, which is three sections long. A point A to point B trek that takes you across the highway, mountainous ridges, and ending in a city centre.
  • Wii Dry Dry Ruins - We and Nintendo kind of messed up with the Wii tracks here. Toad’s Factory being the only Wii track so far was a mistake, and it’s now a good time for Dry Dry Ruins to return. We should have included Wii Luigi Circuit, tbh.
  • GBA Broken Pier - We need a retro ghost track, and this one hasn’t come back before. I’m not really for adding a third SNES track now, and certainly not a fourth N64 track. So Broken Pier it is. Scary mountains are also cool.
  • NS Electrodrome - A strong inclusion from MK8. I’d rather not include any retro track that’s in the MK8D, including the ‘nitros’ in the BCP. Electrodrome also just fits well.
  • 3DS Maka Wuhu - Now is the time to transition over to the Star and Special Cup tracks, and in that regard Maka Wuhu makes way more sense as a capstone to the Lightning Cup.
