Hello and welcome to my first SmashBoards Creates thread. Let's talk about Capcom.

Capcom has been known as one of gaming's most iconic creators, especially with their most successful franchises, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Marvel VS Capcom, and Ace Attorney. They've had multiple crossovers, most of them being fighting games, like the aforementioned Marvel VS Capcom series and the SNK VS Capcom series. But now, I think it's time we had a Capcom-themed Platform-Fighter. We'll use characters, stages, music, etc. from different Capcom franchises.

Before we start, let's get the obvious ones out of the way first.

Ryu (Street Fighter)

Ryu is basically Street Fighter's main protagonist and mascot (along with Chun-Li, but we'll get to her next) and one could argue he's basically become Capcom's mascot, after Mega Man. If anything, he's the face of fighting games. His moveset and design are too iconic for Capcom NOT to include him.

Chun-Li (Street Fighter)

Chun-Li is another one of Street Fighter's most iconic characters, making her debut in Street Fighter II as one of the first female characters in fighting games. I mean, you can't have a Capcom crossover game and NOT include her as well.

Suzaku Castle

Of course, we can't forget about Ryu's stage, Suzaku Castle.

Now for our first job, Job #1:
Pick a "classic" Capcom character and a "modern" Capcom character.

Classic capcom fighter:
Megaman (Megaman)
1685220793180.png
The protagonist of eponymous series and one of most popular Capcom characters of all time, Megaman strikes back for "Capcom allstars".
He is considered as an obvious choice for the roster.

Modern capcom fighter:
Amaterasu (Okami)
1685220971397.png
Amaterasu is the protagonist of Okami series made by Capcom in 2006 and she is a white wolf that fights evil in classical Japan.

She is also an obvious choice for the roster due to the popularity of her first game. Plus a quadrupedal fighter would be rad in this game.

Dante (Devil May Cry)

I don't know if he counts as classic, but Dante's definitely an obvious one, since he's skilled with swords (and other edged and bladed weapons) and guns, and he's basically the face of Devil May Cry.

Frank West (Dead Rising)

Another obvious choice, Frank West is a freelance photojournalist, one of the main protagonists (and practically the mascot) of Dead Rising. With a vast range of weapons and his camera, he'd be a great (and slightly gimmicky) character to use. He's covered wars, ya know.

Classic: Amingo

Amingo was introduced in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and has since become a really popular character. He would represent the general mechanics of the MvC series and its original characters in general.

Mia Winters

I’ve seen much debate over if a RE rep should be a human or a monster so why not someone who can be both? I imagine would normally fight as she does when she’s playable in RE7 but gets more monstrous for stronger, heavier attacks.

Morrigan
Darkstalkers has pretty much never missed a capcom crossover and Morrigan is the face of the franchise and arguably the face of capcom crossovers. We can go for more unusual picks for our second or third DS reps but I just think Morrigan is too big not to include.

Nero
Dante may make sense to go first but Nero was the protagonist of the last game and is being set up as the new lead going forwards. His powers would make for a very fun moveset.

I think I'll keep Job #1 submissions open until Saturday or Sunday. When it's done, we could just agree to use all of them, since we're just starting out. But while we're at it, let's try our next few jobs.

Job #2:
Submit a title for the game.

I think "Capcom All-Stars" may sound a bit too cliche. I wanna see if you guys can come up with a better title. Once we have enough submissions, we can vote on the title.

Job #3:
Pick a satisfactory but reasonable roster number.

Job #4:
Pick 2 characters from a Capcom arcade game or franchise with their own stage and theme music.

Two of them could be from two separate franchises, or they could be from the same franchise. It's your choice.

So for job 4 are any characters from arcade games eligible?
You can pick characters from whatever Capcom arcade game you like. This includes characters from Street Fighter, Final Fight, Rival Schools, Darkstalkers, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Strider, Bionic Commando, etc.

But not characters from licensed franchises that eventually became Capcom games. I might save that for another Job.

Job #4:
Arthur (Ghosts 'n Goblins)

A brave knight who ventures off to fight demons and save the Princess Prin Prin (Yes, that is her name). I think Arthur is a pretty good fit for this, especially with a lot of weapons he can use, like lances and knives, and magic.

Stage:
Haunted Graveyard (Ghosts 'n Goblins)

Arthur would have to have his own stage based on the Graveyard Level (Stage 1) from Ghosts 'n Goblins. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture without Arthur or the zombies. Anyway, the stage would start with the Stage Start jingle from Ghosts 'n Goblins.

Music:
Haunted Graveyard (Ghosts 'n Goblins)

It'd have to be a remix that sounds kinda like this:

Or this:

Firebrand (Gargoyle's Quest)

A Red Arremer of the Demon Realm known as the "Red Blaze" who has the ability to fly and breathe fire. I think he'd be a great fit for this, as well. Plus, although Gargoyle's Quest isn't an arcade game, it IS a spin-off of Ghosts 'n Goblins, so it counts.

Stage:
Demon Village (Gargoyle's Quest)

Firebrand's stage would be based on his home, Demon Village, from Gargoyle's Quest. I couldn't get a good in-game picture of this...

Music:
Intro/Demon Border (Gargoyle's Quest)

I was thinking his theme music could be a medley remix of the Intro theme and the Demon Border (Opening Stage) theme from Gargoyle's Quest.

Roster Number: 50 (Capcom has a huge library of franchises/IPs, and I think they would be all represented equally)

So, up to four characters by both current jobs, huh? A thread makes me look back at my sandbox and this page. Because of potentially big write-ups, I'll keep them in spoiler tabs.

Job #1: New Fighters from Classic/Modern Eras

Potential Home Stage Theme: A metal/rock remix of the original game's first stage, Crime Jungle (if not a new remix, perhaps use a PxZ2 rendition?).

Captain Commando is the primary protagonist of the eponymous beat 'em up game released for the arcades in 1991, where he acts as a vigilante and superhero who leads his own Commando Team (consisting of Sho/Ginzu the Ninja, a mummy alien Jennety/Mack the Knife and a genius toddler Hoover/Baby Head), as they fight against Scumocide (Genocide in Japan) and his band of Super Criminals to prevent them from conquering the whole galaxy in order to uphold justice.

A two-volume long manga prequel, which was published for the Gamest magazine in 1994, expanded the game's universe with backstories, revealing that Captain Commando's real identity is Mars Carlisle, a billionaire and the CEO of Star Electronics, which was founded by his late father. The game also heavily implies that it takes place in Final Fight's Metro City on the future, such as Ginzu being Guy's successor in Bushin-ryu, and the former mayor & series' main hero Mike Haggar's bust being one of the collectable items, though it's drawn into question as Yuta Homura is stated to be capable of clearing the game with Mack the Knife in a single credit according to his profile on the Shadaloo Combat Research Institute.

Captain Commando originally made his debut as a more futuristic pilot-like figure in the manuals and rear packaging of various games Capcom published for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Commodore 64 between 1986 and 1989, often congratulating the player for purchasing their products and challenging them. This, his initials and the arcade game cemented his place among Capcom's most iconic mascots alongside the likes of Ryu, Mega Man and Arthur (as shown in the "Ring of Arcade" stage from Street Fighter V: Champion Edition), even appearing in their artworks and crossover titles such as Capcom World 2, Capcom Super League Online (unfortunately cancelled), the Marvel vs. Capcom series, Namco x Capcom, Project x Zone 2 and SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash, besides recent compilations (Capcom Beat'em Up Bundle & Arcade Stadium), a movie poster on Resident Evil 3's remake, a cameo on Ken's stage in Street Fighter Alpha 2 and a costume for Chuck Greene, Frank West & Charlie Nash in Super Dead Rising 3, Dead Rising 4 and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (coincidental for latter's new Justice Corridor attack through Stealth Dash) respectively.

Wearing his signature armored suit, Captain Commando is a skilled fighter with martial arts skills, including usage of the aforementioned armor's technology such as boots and gauntlets that allows him to either shock or burn opponents by attacking them and even perform techniques like Captain Fire to shoot out a long-reaching stream of flames forward, Captain Kick (a horizontally flying two-hit kick) and Captain Corridor by punching the ground to either summon a electric shockwave around himself (likely Down Smash) or a huge energy pillar (special move). He can also summon his Commando Companions to attack opponents such as Ginzu (who slashes with his katana/sword), Mack (performs a spinning dual knife uppercut) and Baby Head (shoots out a flying missile) or act as follow-ups for his throws, even being able to utilize powerful attacks like Captain Sword (a gigantic laser beam that they slash downwards like a sword/blade) and Captain Storm (a team-up attack Commando finishes with Captain Corridor).

Captain Commando can also use weapons from the original arcade game like large hammers, pistols, a laser gun, assault rifles, a stun ray to paralyze opponents, rocket launcher to shoot dropping missiles, and even pilot various mecha robots which can also freeze or burn opponents with ice/fire blasts.

Potential Home Stage Theme: A remixed medley of Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2001 and Pursuit ~ Cornered from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Phoenix Wright is one of the main protagonists/heroes from the visual novel adventure series Ace Attorney, in which he takes the role of a veteran defense attorney who heads his own agency and often solves seemingly impossible cases such as murder by using his detective skills to gather evidence and the assistance of Maya Fey, the younger sister of his mentor Mia, and a spirit medium who specializes in seeking guidance by channeling her abilities, allowing him to "turnabout" the court to his favor. He later acts as a support character for his apprentices/understudies, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes.

Since the original game's release on Game Boy Advance in October 12th, 2001, the series became popular enough to achieve multiple sequels, spin-offs focusing on Phoenix's rival prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, prequels (The Great Ace Attorney; with his ancestor, Ryunosuke Naruhodo as the protagonist) and remasters for newer consoles, including anime/live-action film adaptations, mangas, stage plays on theatres, musicals and drama CDs, having popularized a visual novel genre for the Western world. The series' characters has also made appearances in various crossovers such as SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Project x Zone 2, Street Fighter × All Capcom and even Professor Layton.

As shown in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Phoenix Wright is a fighter who actually uses indirect attacks in the form of mundane actions like reading/throwing paper documents, sneezing, pointing, slipping up, slamming a courtroom podium/desk and searching the ground for clues/evidence in order to utilize them to his advantage. This is implemented in his own gimmick and one of the special moves in which he finds one of the six random items, storing up to three and using them by presenting as pieces of evidence through differently working projectiles. He can also create speech bubbles with iconic phrases ("OBJECTION!", "HOLD IT!" and "TAKE THAT!"), grab opponents with a Psyche Lock, use a stepladder to climb up for recovering and summon both Maya & Missile (the dog) in various moves. His Super attack will likely be based on his Level 3 Hyper Combo where he accuses the opponent of a crime, presenting every investigated evidence he holds and unleashes a explosion through his "TAKE THAT!" speech bubble.

Job #4: Characters with Their Home Stages

Momotaru is the main protagonist of Capcom's 1984 arcade classic Pirate Ship Higemaru (walkthrough), which involves a courageous Norwegian sailor himself (as a European myself, I found this fascinating) trying to get rid of the titular evil pirate crew, the Higemaru Corps, themselves led by Captain Bows from his ship/vessel, the Anchor, by grabbing and throwing barrels, drums, large bags and various other items into them. The game was ported a few times in Capcom's arcade collections such as Generations 3 (SEGA Saturn/PlayStation), Classics Collection (PlayStation 2/Xbox), Arcade Cabinet (PlayStation 3/Xbox 360) and Arcade Stadium (PlayStation 4/Xbox One/Steam/Switch). It also got a Famicom/MSX2-exclusive sequel, Higemaru Makaijima: Nanatsu no Shima Daibōken (walkthrough), which has Momotaru sailing the seven islands alongside one of them having Ghosts 'n Goblins elements such as various enemies and Red Arremer (Firebrand's race/species) appearing as the final boss.

Momotaru himself, Beard (long-dead pirate legend from Higemaru Makaijima) and Bows (who are both ret-conned as his younger siblings) were given profiles in the Shadaloo Combat Research Institute character guide in August 2016, being established as the older brothers of a character adapted from Ruby Heart (who appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes) and fought Ryu at some point in the past. He was even considered as a playable character for Street Fighter V, using the barrel as his main source of attack, before he was cut in favor of Birdie instead, however.

Taking notice from this fact, Momotaru would primarily use a large barrel with a chain attached to it by whipping around in order to batter opponents or throwing a variety of projectiles that roll across the ground (normal/explosive barrels, drums, large bags and boulders like in Higemaru Makaijima) across the ground towards them. He can even use an anchor to either grab airborne opponents and slam them back onto the ground, use it as a tether recovery to grab ledges or turn himself invisible for a brief time, referencing it's usage as a power-up in Pirate Ship Higemaru.

According to Shadaloo Combat Research Institute, Momotaru is also an avid fan of darts, and will not hesitate to use these to taunt his foes, so this would be referenced either in a taunt, stabbing tilt attack or a short-ranged, weaker yet spammable move. He also used the Satan Sword in Higemaru Makaijima to finish off various bosses such as Red Arremer itself. His Super attack may potentially involve him using a bigger, exploding barrel to send opponents flying into a pirate ship before sinking it by pulling his anchor, spinning it fast enough as he jumps and tosses it straight down to crash through the deck, causing a tremendously huge water splash that launches opponents away when going back to the stage.

Home Stage: Pirate Ship Higemaru

Stage Theme: A medley of the Deck BGM, Hurry-Up and Invincible Time jingles, remixed with Norwegian/pirate-related instruments.

The stage takes place on the deck of a giant eponymous pirate ship itself with masts, sails and barrels/drums all over the place. Captain Bows and his crew, the Higemaru Corps (enemy pirates) will roam around the ship and try to attack players, who can damage them by either pushing single barrels on the ground or using their own attacks. Sometimes, barrels will summong healing food items or an anchor that grants temporary invincibility upon breaking.

Super Ace is the main protagonist of the vertical shoot 'em up video game series, 194X, which was created by Capcom for the arcades with 1942's release in November 30th, 1984, involving him trying to reach Tokyo and destroy the Japanese air fleet during the Pacific Theater and the Battle of Midway (based on actual events which occured during World War II), all while piloting his signature plane, a Lockheed P-38 Lightning, dubbed after his title. The original game became one of Capcom's first commercial successes, was ported and included on several compilations multiple times and was the first title to spawn a successful series of five sequels released from 1987 to 2010 (1942: First Strike), with many of Capcom's vertical shooters (after having followed Vulgus, their very first game) featuring similar gameplay, such as Commando & it's sequels (which shares a universe with Bionic Commando), Gun.Smoke, Exed Exes, Legendary Wings, Last Duel and Varth: Operation Thunderstorm.

Yes, for this thread, I'm using the actual pilot himself instead of a humanization of the plane we see in Marvel vs. Capcom's Secret Files, for obvious reasons (even though it's likely a in-joke from Capcom's developers).

As a legendary ace pilot, Super Ace would fight on-foot for the first time while utilizing military tactics such as close-quarters combat, possibly a knife for melee slashes and weapons/items from the series such as a 3-way shot, piercing laser beam and smaller Side Fighters, being pretty much a zoner when it comes to his home series' gameplay. He can also summon the Lockheed P-38 Lightning plane for special moves like dropping bombs, doing a upwards loop-de-loop for the recovery and a sideswipe (spins while speeding forward). His Super attack may involve him performing a powerful flying bombardment attack alongside other playable fighters; Mitsubishi A6M Zero (1944: The Loop Master), de Havilland Mosquito (1941: Counter Attack/19XX) and a Boeing Steirman E75 airplane (1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen), in a same vein as Fox's new Final Smash with the Arwings.

Home Stage: Battle of Midway

Stage Theme: A triumphant remix of the first stage from 1943: Battle of Midway.

In this stage, the fighters will face each other on top of the carrier ship's runway as squadrons of airplanes are shown battling through the skies in a background, with the surface being completely flat. Working as stage hazards, Japanese enemy planes will fly across the stage in various patterns, shooting bullets down at players who can make them fall in the water by attacking. After a certain time has passed, the screen's camera will zoom far away and a huge IJN Yamato battleship appears from the other side, firing exploding blasts from it's large three-barreled cannons. When every cannon is destroyed, it will finally blow itself up, damaging players still standing on it and doesn't manage to get back on the carrier in time, except the one who manages to destroy it.

Job #5 (Villains and/or Antiheroes):
Akuma (Street Fighter)

Akuma (Gouki in Japan) is an iconic part of the Street Fighter franchise, and he has been since his first appearance in Super Street Fighter II Turbo (probably as a secret boss). He's not entirely evil, but I'd say he's... an antagonistic neutral. Anyway, he'd be a great fit for this. His theme music would be a medley remix of his Super Street Fighter II Turbo theme and his Street Fighter Alpha theme.

Demitri Maximoff (Darkstalkers)

Demitri was originally intended to be the protagonist of Darkstalkers, but that mantle was passed onto Morrigan, seeing as how she became more popular. Demitri hasn't gotten many chances to appear in as many crossovers as Morrigan, so I'd say we could give him a chance here. He's kind of a halfway mix between villain and antihero, so I guess that counts. Personally, I think Demitri represents Darkstalkers better than Morrigan (mostly because, in Japan, the series is called Vampire), and I wish he would appear in more Capcom crossovers, but that's just me. Anyway, there could be a remix of Demitri's Theme.

Job #6 (Obscure):
Batsu Ichimonji (Rival Schools)

Batsu is the main protagonist of the Rival Schools series, which could arguably be part of the Street Fighter universe, considering the fact that they added Sakura to Rival Schools, and years after that, Akira to Street Fighter V. Anyway, Batsu hasn't appeared in many crossovers either, but I still think he could use another time to shine. His theme music could be a remix of On the Rooftop of Taiyo High School.

Samanosuke Akechi (Onimusha)

Samanosuke Akechi is one of the protagonists of the Onimusha series, which was kind of a mix between Resident Evil and Devil May Cry (although Onimusha came out first), but in feudal Japan, modeled after Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro. I don't think he's ever appeared in a crossover before (though I could be wrong), so I think he'd also be a good fit for this. His theme music could be a medley remix of Samanosuke's Theme (Onimusha: Warlords) and Main Theme ~ Samanosuke's Theme (Onimusha 3: Demon Siege).

I'll do Job #7 sometime later...

Sorry, I kinda forgot about this thread for a minute...

Anyway, submissions for Job #1 are done. Let's take a look at them.

Leon Kennedy and Monster Hunter ( DragonRobotKing26 DragonRobotKing26 )

Mega Man and Amaterasu ( Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds )

Dante and Frank West (Me)

Amingo and Mia Winters ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule )

Zero and Asura ( GamingFan1997 GamingFan1997 )

Morrigan and Nero (@DarkVortex)

Captain Commando and Phoenix Wright ( tonygameman tonygameman )

Nathan Spencer and Viewtiful Joe ( nirvanafan nirvanafan )

Vote for your Top 3 for both classic and modern characters, and we can pick the three most voted classic and modern characters. You can self-vote, but not in 1st Place.

Come to think of it, I should probably vote as well.
Classic:
1. Captain Commando
2. Zero
3. Dante

Modern:
1. Viewtiful Joe
2. Phoenix Wright
3. Frank West

I'll keep submissions for Jobs #2, #3, and #4 open until next Monday. In the meantime, why don't we try out our next three Jobs?

Job #5:
Pick 2 Capcom villains and/or antiheroes.

Job #6:
Pick 2 characters from a more obscure Capcom game or franchise.

Again, they could be from two separate games or franchises or the same game or franchise. Your choice.

Job #7:
Pick 4 stages from different Capcom games or franchises with music.
I just voted.

Classic Character:
  1. Mega Man
  2. Captain Commando
  3. Morrigan Aensland
Modern Character:
  1. Mia Winters (quite clever for both human/monster sides)
  2. Asura
  3. Phoenix Wright
Villain: Princess Devilotte (Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness)

Character Theme: A remix of "Super-8 Theme" from Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness.

Princess Devilotte de DeathSatan IX (sometimes called Devilot) is one of the antagonists and bosses in a fighting game Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness, which Capcom released for the arcades in April 20th, 1995, taking place near the end of the 21st century Earth (some time after a 1994 beat 'em up Armored Warriors) that became overpopulated and led to many people living in space colonies, with various pilots using their mechas called "Variant Armors" against each other in battles for the planet's future while "Earth Force" conducts their own experiments.

On her side of the game's story/lore, Devilotte is a spoiled and bratty, yet ruthless princess and the daughter of a dangerous emperor who runs a space pirate organization, who flies around space looking for pilots to plunder their Variant Armors for her collection to steal parts and upgrade her own mecha with the assistance of her loyal lackeys/henchmen, Dave and Xavier (scientist & wizard), while having a crush on Gawaine Murdock. In-battle, she uses an aforementioned Variant Armor, the S-008 SUPER-8, a giant octopus-shaped mecha which is primarily designed for underwater use, despite being able to float on land and space normally.

Being one of the game's most popular characters, Devilotte herself has made multiple cameo appearances in Capcom's various projects, such as Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (hidden/secret character), Pocket Fighter (cameo in PS1 & Saturn's ports), Capcom Girl no Mind Puzzle, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (summonable helper with Jin Saotome being playable), Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (assist card in Heroes and Heralds Mode), Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (in Doronjo & Joe the Condor's endings), Project X Zone (a support/Solo unit), Onimusha Soul, Street Fighter X All Capcom, Puzzle Fighter on mobile devices and Street Fighter V (both a costume for Menat and Ring of Arcade cameo), besides Cyberbots' recent ports on Capcom Arcade Stadium and Fighting Collection.

In this project, Devilotte fights by piloting on her giant S-008 SUPER-8 mech, being able to attack by using it's legs that came out akin to tendrils/tentacles in order to pierce opponents with sharp pointed drill-like edges by stabbing or spinning them, set them on fire by fuming flames from it's exhausts, drop bombs in an arc, fire out explosive homing missiles, shoot laser beams, stun opponents with a satellite dish from one of the tendrils, charging towards them with it's body and blow up in a self-destructing explosion, even being capable of relying on her servants (Dave and Xavier) in additional attacks.

Anti-Hero: Nilin (Remember Me)

Character Theme: A original rendition of Fragments.

Nilin Cartier-Wells is the main protagonist of an action-adventure video game Remember Me, which was released in June 3th, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. She is an amnesiac memory hunter who works for the Errorists, an underground resistance as she goes on a quest in Neo-Paris to bring down a megacorporation Memorize and alongside the help of Edge, attempts to recover her memories that they stripped off, able to steal and manipulate them through "memory remixing", an ability she learned from her father (who is the CEO and president of Memorize) thanks to a Sensen brain implant, while also fighting Leapers, memory-addicted humans that absorbed so many their Sensen has degraded and mutated into sub-human forms.

Remember Me is often brought up as the first project developed by Dontnod Entertainment, that is known for it's narrative adventure game series published by Square Enix, Life Is Strange. The game became a "Platinum Title" on Capcom's library, having sold more than one million copies and become the second most downloaded PlayStation Plus title in Europe. It also has a prelude story which was published on the website, focusing on the diary of Nilin's grandfather who founded Memorize about 100 years before the game's events, and a 24-page comic book released by Dark Horse Comics.

When it comes to combat, Nilin is a skilled martial artist who can use various fighting styles such as tai chi, capoeira, judo, karate and taekwondo, even being able to perform different kinds of combo sequence attacks (Combo Lab). Nilin's primary and gauntlet-like weapon, the Sensen/Hunt Glove, allows her to access the memories of others and even control machines with it, also capable of utilizing various customizations like the Spammer (fires a data burst), Force Spammer (a tractor beam), Junk Bolt (grenade launcher) and Pressen moves such as Sensen Fury (a strength buff that stuns an opponent when hit), Sensen DOS (a stunning shockwave), Sensen RIP (summons robots like Nephilims and Seraphims to assist in-battle), Sensen Camo (briefly turns invisible for a short time) & Logic Bomb (a explosive virus).

Job #6: Obscure Fighters

Character Theme: A orchestral remix of "Do Your Best!" from Breath of Fire III with undertones of "Nina's White Wings" from Breath of Fire II.

Nina is the main female heroine of the role-playing game series Breath of Fire, which started on the Super Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System in April 3th, 1993. In most games, she is a winged warrior princess of the Fae Tribe/Wing Clan who lives in the kingdom of Wyndia, befriending an adventurer called Ryu (fellow central protagonist; not related with a Street Fighter), who can shapeshift into different types of dragons as their party travels across a medieval fantasy world.

Throughout the series, Nina's character isn't always consistent due to having multiple reincarnations like those from The Legend of Zelda, thus having many different designs to pick from, such as BOF3 (lower left) and BOF2 (lower right; used for Heroes and Heralds Mode's card in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3) that are often considered her best incarnations by the series' fans. While it's likely most of the designs can be used as costumes overall, perhaps we could draw elements from the whole series as a foundation for Nina's moveset, allowing her to use her rapier blade, a wand, rings, wing-based attacks and various magical spells like summoning typhoons, blizzards that freeze opponents, lightning bolts, creating explosions, giant fire serpents, reflecting attacks (Wall), healing herself (Cura) and even drain an opponent's special attack via Leech Power (working almost similarly to Kirby's Inhale).

Character Theme: A remix of the arcade game's first stage, Ancient Cave.

Black Tiger is the eponymous protagonist/hero of an action-adventure/hack-and-slash platformer game Black Tiger, which was released for the arcades in August 1th, 1987. He is a mighty barbarian warrior who sets out to slay a group of demonic dragons that descended from the thunderous skies and destroyed his home in order to bring peace to the kingdom, armed with a chain flail that shoots spike daggers from the morning star when swinging it.

The game is known for introducing the "Zenny" currency, which is later shown in many other video games developed by Capcom, and being considered a spiritual successor of Ghosts 'n Goblins, with Black Tiger's armor breaking down before dying (though it does absorb three hits normally) and the Red Arremer appearing as a boss in the fourth stage. It has been ported in various platforms and Capcom's compilations like PS3 & Xbox 360's Arcade Cabinet (where it was a free title that comes with it's launch) and 2nd Arcade Stadium on next-generation consoles, with even a spider boss in Resident Evil being named after the game and a barbarian himself having made an appearance in a cancelled mobile RPG Capcom Super League Online. It was also referenced in the novel Ready Player One, where Wade Watts has to complete a 3D simulation of the game, as part of the Hunt.

As a warrior, Black Tiger is primarily armed with a mace for melee combat and his signature morning star flail, which he uses for long-range attacks by swinging it with the head doing more damage, while holding the button makes him to shoot fast flying spike daggers repeatedly in the chosen direction as he flails a weapon and stronger attacks will fire a three-way spread projectile at short range when fully charged. He also uses a shield to block attacks, deflect projectiles and even bash close-ranged opponents with it, shoot fireballs from his flail and wear a bronze suit of armour that reduces his damage for a short period of time before breaking. His super attack may involve the Black Dragon, most powerful/fearsome of the dragons and the game's final boss, swooping in as it rapidly shoots down a volley of small, yet fast and strong fireballs which erupt into pillars when hitting the ground before it finishes by breathing with a huge powerful stream of flames and leaves the stage.

I think I’ll keep Job #7 submissions open until next Wednesday.
On second thought, maybe until next Monday. Also, I changed it to 2-4 stages from either the same or different games or franchises. But anyway, I think it's time we counted the votes for Jobs #2-#6. (I really hope I counted these right.)

Job #2: Game Title
Capcom Coliseum: 12 Points
Capcom X-Over Clash: 3 Points
Capcom Battle Arena: 6 Points

Capcom Coliseum is the winner for the title of the game.

Job #3: Roster Number
35 Characters: 1 Vote
38 Characters: 0 Votes
46 Characters: 0 Votes
50 Characters: 5 Votes
40 Characters: 1 Vote

Looks like 50 characters will be the roster number.

Job #4: Arcade Characters
Arthur: 17 Points
Firebrand: 0 Points
Momotaru: 0 Points
Super Ace: 3 Points
Mike Haggar: 21 Points
Strider Hiryu: 20 Points
Tessa: 10 Points

The winners are Haggar, Hiryu, Arthur and Tessa.

Job #5: Villains/Antiheroes
M. Bison: 9 Points
Tron Bonne: 8 Points
Albert Wesker: 7 Points
Akuma: 3 Points
Demitri Maximoff: 3 Points
Princess Devilotte: 11 Points
Nilin: 1 Point

The winners are Devilotte, Bison, and Tron.

Job #6: Obscure Characters
Regina: 8 Points
Hayato Kanzaki: 5 Points
Edward Falcon: 14 Points
Batsu Ichimonji: 3 Points
Samanosuke Akechi: 4 Points
Nina: 7 Points
Black Tiger: 1 Point

The winners are Falcon, Regina, and Nina.

Looks like it's back to adding content for me. Anyway, onto Job #7.

Job #7:
Carnival (Marvel VS Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes)
1692031524802.png

I think this would make a nice offbeat stage for a Capcom Platfighter, especially with that big, creepy clown in the background. Obviously, this stage would need a remix of the Carnival Stage theme.

Clock Tower (Marvel VS Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes)
1692033266568.png

I also think the Clock Tower would be perfect Platfighter stage material for this. Of course, it'd need a remix of the Clock Tower Stage theme.

Job #7: Stages from Different IPs

Stage Music: A modernized rendition of "CWA" from Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II.

The stage takes place in a wrestling competition organized by the Capcom Wrestling Association ("CWA" in short), which was led by its undefeated champion Victor Ortega, with players fighting inside the giant squared ring, complete with a platform reading "Capcom Professional Wrestling Association", bright lights, ropes both on the foreground and sides that they can bounce off towards their opponents while performing attacks or jump over them, and a crowd/audience roaring in cheer aloud at the background as they watch the intense fight while Harry Hicks (a referee) runs around on the ring (a background NPC who counts down when a timer reaches down with ten seconds left), especially when one of the fighters gets knocked out/defeated.

Stage Music: A metal remix of the Area 1 theme from Bionic Commando.

The first area in Bionic Commando's Famicom/NES version and its 2009 remake, Bionic Commando Rearmed, on which the stage's aesthetics are based on, with a layout coming from both games. Players will fight each other in a base on the outskirts of the Imperial Army's territory, with several structures, steel girders and platforms they can jump on as they climb up to the Communication Room (though it cannot be entered inside), with a long lamp post in the middle of a stage between islands, with players being able to swim around on water (before drowning if they don't get out quickly). Sometimes, enemy soldiers will drop down from the sky with their parachutes and attempt to shoot players with their rifles once they land on the ground, occassionally hiding behind barrels to avoid attacks and dying when hit three times.

Stage Music: A orchestral, Wild West-like rearrangement of the first stage theme, "Town of Hicksville".

The stage takes place on a small town in the Wild West, with a few buildings players can jump on their roofs (one of which has a wanted poster of Master, the stage's boss, in the wall) and barrels on the ground that can be destroyed to get items from inside. During the match, criminals will run across the stage and shoot at players with their revolvers, while back-stabbers will slash them as they appear between buildings. Gunmen can also show up in building windows and even try to fire down with their sniper rifles, unless players attack them on platforms.

Stage Music: A rearrangement of Prelude: The Night Begins from Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

The stage takes place in the game's tutorial location where Sissel died and meets with Ray as he attempts to save Lynne with his new ghastly powers from Jeego, a near-sighted hitman hired by Sith. It consists of two floors, the lower one having junk piles with a telephone booth, platform and stairs that lead to the ground level, which is a landfill of discarded junk with various objects that often may act on their own as if possessed, though they're more of background elements. However, the crane will sometimes lower it's claw and swing a wrecking ball around the upper floor to hit fighters, being a stage hazard.

You know what? I seem to have procrastinated on this for a little too long once again, and I apologize for that. I usually tend to have pretty irregular schedules. Anyway, let's keep Job #7 going until NEXT Wednesday. We need more stages.

Edit: Actually, maybe until next Monday.
