Job 32 - Dedede Robo (Kirby GCN)
1684547465834.png

This mechanical version of King Dedede comes from the Gamecube prototype for Kirby's Return to Dreamland, and was retooled into the HR-D3 in the final game. For this submission, I'm assuming that Hal Labs decided to use its original design here, either as a stealth promotion for Return to Dreamland or just out of a desire not to waste such a cool mecha-Dedede design. Gameplay-wise, it'd act exactly like the HR-D3, possibly with a few adjustments made to fit Brawl's gameplay, and maybe even a few Dedede-esque moves such as the ability to summon/shoot Waddle Dees.

Job 33 - Hammer, Metal Box, Screw Attack

Job #32: Petey Piranha
In the old thread, I did a revamp of Petey Piranha because I felt he was pathetic back in Brawl. I’ve decided to tweak this revamp a little.

View attachment 267348
Game of Origin: Super Mario Sunshine (2002)

What does this boss do?
  • Cage Swing: Petey attacks the player with a cage (13%, OK knockback) using either hand.
  • Head Bash: Petey bashes his head in either direction (11%, OK knockback), leaving him vulnerable for a small window of time.
  • Ground Pound: Petey puts his cages down and flaps his leaf hands and floats in the air for a few seconds. After being tired from floating so little distance into the air, he then slams onto the ground (14%, OK knockback) and grounds anyone who gets too close (28%).
  • Nipper Buddies: Petey spits out four Nipper Plants that continuously nip and hop (2.1% per nip, small knockback), but don’t cling to the player.
  • Poison Breath: Petey spits out a see-through purple poison cloud that slowly damages the player by 1-1.3%.
  • Fire Breath: Petey puts his cages down, and breathes fire down onto the ground that goes past his cages, covering nearly half the arena (22%, medium knockback)

After taking enough hits, Petey will tip over and struggle to get back up, leaving him vulnerable for a few seconds. When at half health, he roars and his attacks are faster and stronger.

Music: Airship Theme - Super Mario Bros. 3

Job #36: I'll nominate Psystrike as Mewtwo's Final Smash (it works exactly like it does in Smash 4 and Ultimate, minus the Mega Evolution) - I know this attack technically debuted in the Gen5 Pokémon games, but I could see this as a case of Game Freak making it Mewtwo's signature attack from those games onwards as a nod to Brawl. Besides, it's not like the canon Brawl didn't make up new moves for Lucario's and Jigglypuff's Final Smashes - then again, those weren't backported into the official Pokemon games...

Job #37: Pictochat (works exactly as it does in Brawl)

I mean, they did that with the Kirby characters too.

Job #36:

Mega Strike Bowser; basically a canon reskin of his Giga form.

I will resubmit Rachel

Rachel (Advance Wars Dual Strike - 2005)

Advance/Nintendo Wars is a very active franchises at this time with entries on NES, SNES, GB, GBA, & now moving to the DS. May not be as popular in hindsight but could be a cool promo for a newer character for Orange Star & the sister of the series kind of Anna equivalent Nell.

Chozo Ruins is my stage vote
