Is this Alex reliable? Because if he's not then this is just another "leak" to be thrown out. Although I'm guessing the new Nintendo characters to be K. Rool, Skull Kid, and Decidueye.
Exactly. She is low priority not because she may be cut, but because she is easy to make. She is a Kirby semi-clone, her final smash is lazy and is her moveset basically unchanged from Melee.
It has got even sadder lol.When talking about Pokémon characters potentially not returning would it not be more appropriate to say that they will be HM01'd instead of cut?
She is the definition of low-effort, high reward character due to how unique she is.
No, she's not a Kirby semi-clone, she was one in 64, but in every other game, no, I can't see it, what does she even have in common with Kirby anymore? D-air, F-smash and something else I'm missing?
Sadly, Jigglypuff isn't even all that great in the mainstream Pokemon titles. Despite having above average HP, it's hardly an offensive threat, its defenses are bad, and it's also as slow as a Torkoal. But at least it fits the bill as a joke character.
The only way I really see Jigglypuff being even close to a clone of Kirby is that they both puff up and have like 5 jumps.

It's not even the blue hair that's the problem, it's the lack of weapon variety because IS just constantly makes the main characters sword users which, given weapon variety is a key factor in the franchise, is kinda ridiculous.

Her case is just like Dr. Mario but much more drastic. Doc didn't get any different since melee, but Mario did.
Why do these leaks have precise data for all game but when they get to smash they have juuuuuussst enough ambiguity? A DK character, a zelda character and a pokemon? Why and how would they know the character's series and no the character?

Yeah...I'm skeptical of this one. If only because it feels really safe and based entirely on info we already know. The Pokémon names also sound less like official names and more like a fan trying to look official, and the Smash predictions are all extremely vague and based either on past precedent or on stuff the fans constantly talk about.

I love browsing through the thread and finding weird assumptions offhandedly mentioned with no explanation like they don't require one.
John Harker from ResetEra. He's a reliable source of info. He was the one who leaked the exact date for the January Direct among other things.

Right, names like that would never happen considering Japan and stuff. I mean does the person who created them think the gen 8 remakes would be called Nagasaki Nuclear and Syrian Chemical? Probably best to stick with names like Cube and Sphere for the next 100 years.
That and it was clearly building off of that fan game Pokémon Uranium. Why people think fan games of all things shape Nintendo's decisions is beyond me. Same thing happened with AM2R and Samus Returns, even though there was no connection.
