Likely because Sakurai wasn't allowed to use Cloud's original FF7 artwork, for whatever inane reason.

Because the individual pieces of Final Fantasy 7 are a legal nightmare.

Square doesn't own the art for the game, Nomura does.

Just like how Square doesn't own the music Uematsu does.

Tmk Sora is owned by disney but generally they have given Nomura pretty much full control of the character to the point that they have to ok things with him to use Sora and not the other way around

Bad news: Jesus freaking Christ almighty! The metal Bayonetta fight is hard as heck. I get Sakurai wants to challenge us but there IS a thing called being too hard! No wonder folks weren't kidding when its hard to get him in Adventure.

If things get too hard (or too easy) for you, you can change the difficulty of World of Light with absolutely no penalty.

But at least this time around it feels like Sakurai managed to convince Game freak to let him use more Pokemon stuff. The alt skins in past games sucked but they gave Pichu, Pokemon Trainer and Incineroar pretty cool looking ones that are legitimate references and the new Pokemon remixes are of higher quality than past games.

Nomura's not going to be negotiating Disney's compensation for Smash having Sora. That's what really matters and Sora's biggest hurdle.

Rumours have been going up and Directs are typically in early January, plus it's been 4 months since the last one and people are anxious about the new one. I think it's been delayed because similar to the last one which got delayed due to the earthquake, we're seeing all these announcements for the Switch like Yoshi's Flipping Island's release date, NES games and Dragon Dogma getting a por which is similar to how back in September all these companies announcing they have Switch games which appeared in the delayed direct

Yeah I’ll agree with you there. I’m admittedly just putting into perspective how much Pokémon content we got.

And agreed I’ve actually been able to get through more than one loop of the Steven and Zinnia remixes as opposed to the Cynthia remix, that theme and my girl deserve better!

I got her to 80% and forward aired her off stage and i felt all my bitterness melt away as she plummeted to her doom
