For me Bandai will not put Lloyd, simple fact: Heavy Sword user again.
Heihachi is literaly another Ryu but he has less moves to use. So no.

They have so much more to use, not talking just about Agumon.

Agumon, Klonoa, Kos-Mos, Don-chan, Cosmos Prince, Mametchi. Dig Dug, etc

And even though I like Tekken I'm not going to say that Heiachi would be completely original concept to smash.

I think he means in the terms of the mass majority 'nobody' wanted Joker.

I myself just didn't consider him.

There's no numbers to back up such a claim, though. When the reveal was made, there were far more positive than negative reactions.

Again, not being considered seriously in the running or being considered unlikely =/= unwanted.

Nobody really expected him, but suggesting nobody wanted him is as foolish as suggesting the same thing with Cloud "Most Voted For FF Character" Strife.

The narrative that supposedly no one wanted him in Smash is inane. Especially considering even more crazy picks. It's like if I suggested to you that nobody really wants Agumon in Smash.

Though I do hope Namco gets more of an unexpected bag than what's been suggested.

Never will happen. Resident Evil's main heroes are problematic enough because of their realistic guns., the zombies and creatures are never happening, because the horror imagery is just too much.

This site is far from representative of the total Smash audience. We probably don't even make up 3% of it. Go outside the echo chamber that is communities like this, and yeah, picks like Joker are popular.

Honestly I'm expecting the Capcom rep to be either Monster Hunter or Phoenix Wright.

I'm expecting the latter. At this point, Monster Hunter wouldn't really be a mind blowing surprise as DLC. With Rathalos already in, its chances are far too obvious. Not only that, but Rathalos is already a better mascot for the series.

If they were going to add MH, it would've made sense to reveal such alongside the Monster Hunter content and be in the base roster with 'em from the get go.

It could also be that what we got so far was but a taste of what's to come.
We didn't get the Mii costumes though, so I dunno where that puts us.

Probably paid Mii costume DLC later down the line.

I honestly agree with you, I feel like both Scorpion and Phoenix Wright have a lot better chances than we realize, as both are not expected widely yet are still incredibly popular characters that would be sure to sell dlc

Exactly. Meanwhile Dante's been pretty much deconfirmed by Matt Walkery responses and even soft deconfirmed by Hideki Kamiya along with a few other Capcom alumni.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Wright's series got a positive column from Sakurai in 2016, just like Persona 5 and Dragon Quest did. And Sakurai did meet with Takumi that same year that he just with the DQ team. All in 2016. And Ace Attorney while iconic, popular, and providing a heavily unique gameplay style that could attract Sakurai, would be a huge surprise and is heavily unexpected.

Hmmmmm. If DQ does get in Smash as well, then the case rises from the ashes to heat up even more, considering they've already got Abby Trott there, and could be trying to save up on money spent for certain VAs.

I am fine with Scorpion.

It wouldn’t be the first time he is censored, since we already got:

-SNES Mortal Kombat.
-Defenders Of The Realm.
-MK vs DC Universe.
-Injustice.
-A GBA MK game.

My biggest worry would only be the stage.

Outside of that level in the first game where you can kill the oponent by throwing him down a pit full of spikes, i can’t think about a dope MK stage for Scorpion that involves dope stuff (the level with the acid water could be hard to translate into Smash).
