I've of two minds here.


There is undeniable proof now that Hitagi straight up knows the innerworkings of Cygames, that's undeniable, this was hinted at what, 4 months ago and was only just now revealed?


But I'm still very skeptical if he'd know DLC characters for Smash...

This artstyle's really interesting when you put it through the arcsys engine.
Like, there's more soft detail than say than DBFZ which emulates the traditional animation, but it still looks 2d when it wants to and 3d when it wants to.
It's super impressive that they managed to mix the two without clashing too hard.
Arcsys really are wizards at this type of stuff.

Also, one of you two who knows a damn about this, is Djeeta likely to make an appearance even though she's (as I've been told) noncanon?

Also, I have mixed feelings about Granblue Fantasy content in Smash, but if they can replicate its art style, it would be pretty impressive.

Djeeta is 'non-canon' because story assumes Gran.

A rule of thumb they have kind of given, is that for anime/manga stuff, Djeeta is for side-story content, while Gran is main story. She's almost certain to appear.

Is Crosstag Battle doing well? It feels like the hype for it died pretty quick.

Tmk it still seems to be trucking along on the competitive front with it being in a few more events going forward. Casually it's kind of floundering due to the general radio silence lately though. The last real bit of info we got was several months ago announcing a fifth series. While smart people who know what was datamined know what it is others are left in the dark for a super long time

I thought Hitagi said katalina was likely being negotiated for some other game and not smash though. I mean its still interesting of course but I thought they were pretty clear about that info not actually being for smash.

Blue Girl is Lyria, she's a human-weapon that can absorb the powers of the big-boss like creatures and then summon them later.

The red guy is Vyrn, he's the 'mascot' character', and a dragon.

Double swords is Lancelot, ghost familiars is Ferry, a ghost Erune(Catgirl).

Large Dragon is Bahamut, he's basically the God of the world.

Blue girl

assuming you mean blue hair, white dress, that's Lyria. The main heroine and the reason why you can summon things. If you mean the girl with the crown, that's Charlotta, one of the greatest Knights in the Knights of Lumiel-- basically a paladin force
Stuffed animal is Vyrn, the animal mascot/best friend of the main character
Knight guy with two swords is Lancelot, one of the Dragon Knights and captain of the Knightly Order of the White Dragons
Ghost Familiar girl is Ferry, a girl who died at 13 trying to summon the Primal Beast (think Eidolons from FF) known as Celeste, so her sick sister could escape. In response, the island became an island for zombies... nothing changes, just nobody actually dies.
Large dragon is Bahamut (Proto)

He did.

I will not be releasing info until I have confirmed with my sources. I am VERY UPFRONT, when it comes to what I know. I will not, however, tell everything I know. This is for legal, personal, and insider reasons. Furthermore, it is not worth mentioning to everyone something is probably false. I made a mistake with Katalina, thinking she was confirmed, and at this point, a lot of things are pointing to the deal not being about smash, but something more than that now. I will go into more detail in the updated thread in the future about that, but for now, please be patient.

So while this is definitely a point in his favor, the fact that he backed off of her beforehand keeps her situation ambiguous in terms of Smash.

It's less 'God' and more the primeval deity of destruction and rebirth. It was saeled on Gran/Djeeta's home island and they awoke it and absorbed a tiny sliver of its power to call upon-- which is enough to fight against most things and blow them to bits

He's also Bahamut.


And when Bahamut is unbound(His chains are broken), he more or less will destroy and rebuild the world in an endless cycle of rebirth and destruction, it's why he's bound in the first place.
