Could someone maybe clarify this? Apparently there's a warning on the back of the Smash Ultimate box saying it could cause "cancer and reproductive harm". The topic creator put a picture in this thread:

*Quickplay matchmaking is busted
*Lobbies are decent but you can't unlock Elite Smash with it

I sense a patch soonish. Nintendo ignores a lot with online, but I think their hand will be forced here.

This has been known since E3, but Charizard's taunt game has received a serious buff this game. U-taunt embraces the Riddlezard memes (probably unintentionally but still fun), side taunt shows off the speedy flying-type he is, and d-taunt is now actually cool now that its distinct from his other two. And he has a trainer to pose with him in the background. Ivysaur is still the taunt master of the three though, that frog can dance.

Not being able to take advantageous of my main's A-tier taunt game is an even bigger offense then quick battle's awful matchmaking! Okay not really but it's still a shame.

The only other thing of note is the comment of characters being those that you "usually wouldn't anticipate" to be in Smash. But keep in mind that Shulk falls under this same line of thinking, as Sakurai literally said the same thing in regards to Shulk.

I highly doubt Elma is happening regardless, but she's not actually out of the running.

Not that I'd say more than one would happen, but AT's have a lot going for them that would make promotion fairly easy, and we've already debunked the notion that DLC was decided super long in advance, so AT's have no bearing on the final DLC lineup.

Maybe I have a different interpretation of 'new to the series', but to me, someone who has a Spirit already in the game is not 'new' to the series.



We know 2 of our 6 DLC characters, neither had Spirits, one because they were being worked on alongside the game, and one because they were 3rd Party. Will this trend hold up? We'll probably know by roughly our 3rd DLC reveal.

Characters already in Smash via non-playable means aren't looking too hot.

Other than that though? Open season. It seems every series has a solid enough shot at making it in.

He would, but at the same time, I legit cannot think of a good reason as to why they'd add him as DLC.

Sylux is one thing, Prime 4 is coming out next year, his Spirit is MIA despite being supposedly the antagonist(Though it could just be added in later), and promotional pick DLC is nothing new.



Mother though? If Porky was our only Nintendo rep, or one of our two, assuming that the DLC is going to be primarily 3rd parties, I'd have to imagine that he'd sell horribly.

Poochy literally only appeared in any capacity in Smash with the Yarn Poochy Spirit, and that's a variant. No trophies, no stickers (which amazed me that he never appeared in that), no cameos, no nothing

It's odd to see a lot of the smash community have their expectations so low after a huge announcement like this. Dream big. Theres sure to be another big surprise to come. And there could be up to 4 big surprises to come!
