Hold up....there's a steelbox for this game? Why did Gamestop never advertise for this? I;m against special editions and super loaded, BS $200 editions, but steelbox? I love how special they feel....its my greatest weakness!

Well, all of it could be promotional spirits for a possible Mother collection of games or remakes or something, like how they added spirits for super mario party and pokemon let's go.
But, if they want to promote a collection of games of a franchise that hasn't been really in the market for sometime, maybe they need more than just a bunch of spirits to promote it, maybe a DLC character...

Oh, okay. It was in a super bundle only. Makes me feel a little better. I would never shell out that kinda money, even for a game I enjoy. Though it did include a Pro Controller, which would have been nice to own....maybe i should have sprung for it lol.

Like, I've been getting most of my past games in digital form and I kinda just want to have an actual physical collection(I've bought Fates, Shadows of Valentia, Pokemon Moon, Octopath and Fate/Extella all digital). I have a total of three physical Switch games and they are BotW, Mario Odyssey and Axiom Verge.

By that logic you shouldn’t go digital because there’s a chance you’ll break your switch and lose the entire game.

Me, still having all my DS cartridges I've bought ever since 2010 but unable to redownload New Leaf because Nintendo ****ed me up:

I trust myself more with cartridges then I trust game companies with deciding whether or not I should own a game.

Depending on your area, it's possible everyone will be sold out. Most stores have extras ordered in addition to their preorder count, so it's probably not too late to go and preorder a copy now and make sure one of their extras is reserved for you.

I lost like 4 of my 3ds games on a plane once, I get hella sick after going on planes and somehow left them. At least at the time I had the most important game, Smash Bros. 3ds in my 3ds...

The crazy thing is people are allowed to have preferences.

Not everyone has a stable internet connection. Not everyone trusts online game marketplaces to always provide their content (for instance, anything you purchased on the Wii Shop will no longer exist this January). Some people prefer the cartridge, or the excitement of going to a midnight release with fifty other excited fans. And some people, who are basically only buying the Switch for a handful of Nintendo exclusives they want, don't feel like spending extra money on an SD card they clearly don't need if they buy physical copies.

Not "why are you patient enough to play it on the 8th", but, "why, if you want to play it on the 7th, are you adverse to preordering a copy for yourself?" Like. It's not like it costs more.

I've seen her use Axes, so it's probable. As a fan of FE I don't really care, as long as that game is good and we don't get Corrin 2.0
