digitally is safer also. there's no way to lose the game . it's ON the switch. cartridges may get lost. so...

Vague silhouettes would be perfect tbh. Renders don't have to be finished beyond a quick 2D shape, and unless it's a really distinctive shape (a bandana-wearing blob with a spear) it wouldn't give away a thing.

I was going to get the special edition, but the case is a bit boring. Sure it's more rare, but all it has is the flaming smash logo.

No Porky from the beginning of earthbound, or from his fight on that game, or from mother 3, or his statue, or his porky bots, or anything with his face or name....
Those things could be part of his moveset / final smash if he even make it.

Well, all of it could be promotional spirits for a possible Mother collection of games or remakes or something, like how they added spirits for super mario party and pokemon let's go.
But, if they want to promote a collection of games of a franchise that hasn't been really in the market for sometime, maybe they need more than just a bunch of spirits to promote it, maybe a DLC character...
