I'll clarify. He knows Verge quite well, as they talk very frequently, which was disclosed publically as you know. He simply trusts Verge info in which Verge's source claimed Sora is "not in". He trusts that. Also he heard it form other places.

He does not think Geno is 0%, just highly unlikely because multiple sources have told him (and Verge, which is now public now too as you know) that Geno is a red herring or leakbait.
All if this is already known publically, but I really don't want any misinformation about him. You can ask him yourself

I personally think Geno has a good shot. Xenother has been open about how he's been told Geno is leakbait, and he trusts his sources. The Enix list had the same perspective, obviously. My source has not heard a SE name being confirmed yet, as he's in a rather low position at NoA. He heard Geno through watercooler gossip, and all of the stuff he's heard from NoA has turned up true so I put some confidence in it. But I won't ever say that Geno is confirmed or even 99%. I've been saying a bit more lately, after thinking things through and talking to Xenother a lot, and I believe DQ (in particular), and crono + seph are about as likely as Geno if not moreso. I'll still by what my source hears, personally. He'll know for sure a day or two before a direct given his position. By the time he knows, I'll be public about whether Geno is in or deconfirmed, either way. I completely understand and respect why Xenother feels the way he does based on what he's heard from multiple contacts.

So practically all the viable SE reps are in the running with the same chances for right now; DQ rep, Chrono, Geno, and Seph all have the same chances.
I don't know where the notion that his sources are biased is coming from.

Uh...okay, come for me, but I'm literally just re-stating info I heard that went completely disproved, like we're all doing right now. But sure, let's act like me wanting Geno in is why even though I've plain out put down his chances of him being in numerous times before.

Speaking of Joker, as cool as it would be to get an SMT rep in the roster, I feel like he's too visually-similar to Bayonetta. He'd look like he'd be her son just going off on the color schemes and coincidentally-similar summoning abilities. Narukami would probably have better odds. I'm inclined to say Aigis for Persona 3, but she uses guns almost as much as Bayonetta does so she wouldn't bring much to the table. Then again, Narukami is another sword user which we already have a ton of in the roster...
