Sephiroth I don't see as very likely; despite FF7 already having representation, the composer's situation makes more FF7 music highly unlikely.

I understand what you mean. I'm glad all the characters are back, and I think it makes sense to add all the characters back for people who mained them, but I'd prefer new characters over veterans as well

Another comment about verge real quick. I really am confused on why he hasn’t said anything in general about the list. When ryce said he didn’t hear anything about Minecraft, he jumped on gamefaqs very quick and commented on the matter. His list of SE reps that he had was leaked and... nothing.

I don't think it was that quick though, otherwise they would've been echoes instead of unique fighters.

I mean, we were already discussing just about every notable character on this list, so what's changed? Regardless of whether or not it's real, it's not like it's really helping us narrown down who it could be. "Here's a list of seven SE characters. That should help you figure out who the DLC character is."

Also, daily reminder that Hitagi is not Verge and he hasn't gotten a single prediction right yet. What he says should be taken with a grain of salt.

As someone who only got one character they really wanted, I get where you're coming from.

I didn't think it was necessary to bring everyone back, especially since we only got 6 unique newcomers, with one borrowing some moves from a past fighter.
(I still consider Isabelle unique, but saying she is completely different from Villager is just wrong)

None of my most wanted characters were highly unlikely either. A bunch were Assists (Lyn, Ashley, Shadow) and others seemed very plausible (Elma, Bandana Waddle Dee, Impa)

But I'm stilll happy with what we got. Hopefully, DLC adds some characters I want in.

Dunno... Wolf, Snake and Iceclimbers are like SUPER popular picks and can even be ballot picks, I really really really like what they did to pokemon trainer, is almost a new character honestly...


that left us with young link and pichu... which... aren't exactly the most resource heavy characters ever, so why not? Honestly i think that Young link and toon link are redundat, but heh... whatever, is only one character.

Im assuming to cut down on things that would be needed to be loaded on each page. The site already has a difficult time with embedding images. I can't imagine the site having to load quite a lot more images per page than it already does, especially since a good few have animated gifs in their signatures

I find it weird how Hitagi finds Geno so unlikely because Nintendo is prioritizing profit and recognizability, but doesn’t say anything about Crono, who is pretty much just as niche and unknown to general audiences.

no i think that it is cool that we got all of the vets back. it's kinda like a family reunion. plus, now we can see snake cloud and pichu and Krool in one game. i personally think its very hard to complain about that.

Crono is still more widely recognized by a certain age group though... while geno is only recognized by a fraction of that same age group...
