What is this thing about a cooldown trick?

The 10 minute cooldown is bypassed by turning off the game after unlocking a character

I see! So you have to wait ten minutes after unlocking a character to unlock another one, or turn the switch off and turn it back on. Honestly, I can wait ten minutes between unlocking characters. If it's 66 fighters to unlock, it's only about 660 minutes in total to unlock all the characters. That's about eleven hours, though I heard in a YouTube video that it'll only take about two hours to unlock all the characters, so I'm not really sure what to believe

the fact that geno and mallow are the only square enix spirits in the game is pretty sus, so I'm willing to bet he's out.
