Lucina does her thing in the story for a few chapters but then takes the backseat for the rest of the game. Chrom is always playing a role in the story. He also has better memes.

Lucina's been in MUCH more than Awakening at this point allowing us to gauge her personality much more.
I have no feelings on who is better than who there. My argument was against that general concept.

You guys are putting way too much thought into this "30 placeholders" thing. They mindlessly chose a number high enough that they wouldn't have to worry about running into it. There's no expense in leaving a large number of blank spots and it takes less brainpower to choose a number ~25 over the last needed slot than it does to pick a number 5 higher than the last needed slot. Let's not overanalyze random programming technicalities.

This game is going to be insane for modding if there's 30 more slots to play with.

Brawl hackers managed to do much with 7 slots so increasing it fourfold is just nuts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Smash Ultimate actually still has the 7 open slots from Brawl still present or something.

This is the theme for MGS: Peace Walker. It's so. ****ing. Good!

The music list for this game is off the charts my dudes. All the information today has been really cool, and this music is making pretty much any disappointment from certain things missing disappear. I'm pumped for this. This is great.

Then they left a huge margin of error unless they do the unthinkable and do give us nearly thirty.

Bringing back every single veteran was unthinkable. Squeezing Ridley into Smash was unthinkable.
If they have the disc space and the will, they will do it.

New item and new guidances sure...but no new songs fellow Pit supporter

I know, but thanks for letting me know regardless.

A few guidances (where Pit's not being picked on) and Pit being buffed is okay, I guess, but it'll still feel like a nail in my stomach feeling sad for no new KI music.
Maybe hidden DLC could bring Medusa, which means more KI songs later... but I'm not holding my breath on that for now. At least there's some other interesting songs around, but again, it's not the same.

Quite a big difference between that and... 30 whole unique newcomers...

There's different layers of "unthinkable" and 30 whole characters is like, the 6th layer down.

So Apparently Japan really likes Undertale if they think Sans is a Nintendo character

Aside from Sans, the only characters not in Smash on this list are Eevee, Rowlet, Camilla and Ashley. And two of those are already in other roles in Smash.

Granted, this is a clear error since Sans/Undertale is NOT a Nintendo property, but still.

tbh I'd like Sans as an assist trophy with his attack being his entire Genocide route battle

I see us getting 16 unique DLC fighters at the absolute most, being PP + 3 Fighter Packs throughout the Switch's lifespan.

That being said, 14 echoes throughout the Switch's lifespan isn't too far fetched.

I'd say a second Fighter Pack is all but confirmed at this point though. There's no way Nintendo will pass up the opportunity for more profit with how popular Smash Ultimate is shaping up to be. My predictions are:
