There seems to be a misunderstanding.
People here seem to be under the belief that Nintendo is the one who decided who the five DLC characters of the Fighter Pack are and Sakurai just has to do as they commanded.

....that's not the case.
They were the ones who made the suggestions for the DLC fighters, and Sakurai has final say on whether they can be included or not until there were 5 completely agreed on with both sides.

But see, you're wrong, because you have to leave that part out so you generate that sweet ad revenue. All about cutting out the pieces to make that dollar dollar bill!

Like I said, if that's what you mean, you need to be more careful with how you phrase it. Because what you meant wasn't what you said. The literal meaning of your words was "dark-skinned people are an unrealistic anime trope," not "tanned-skin people are an unrealistic anime trope."

Though I still find it bizarre that you think tanned-skin is unrealistic, but as some people pointed out, that could be a regional issue. Also, as I mentioned before, tanned-skin is one of the least-unrealistic anime tropes you could complain about considering there's still naturally multicolored hair, oversized breasts, teenage soldiers, and unrealistic, painted-on clothing. Tanned skin is perhaps the biggest nothingburger of the bunch, and if you can't get past it, Japanese-based media probably isn't for you.

I had a prediction (Kind of, more like a wish), of Toy Story 4. Remember Forky, and how the theme seems to be more about the concept of how life may work of inanimate objects in a deeper meaning? What if Bo Peep during the events where she wasn't in, she became somewhat of a traumatized, hardened lamp who is kind of broken (In the mind) from not only the harsh events, but also hardships, and learning a lot more about the concept of life (On of them she tries to experiment this by kind of hurting others to see how it works). Just a thought.

My prediction is that Sporky is going to try to fit in with the team, and then make an important sacrifice that leads to Sporky dying.
This displays emotion and sadness in the last part, which Toy Story 4 is going to be built on.

One thing I've been wondering about is if certain characters will be less annoying to fight against. Little Mac was really annoying in Sm4ash and it forced me to main other characters because I felt like I would frustrate some players with him.

Do you think the new lower landing lag will remove some of the For Glory cheese matches?

Wonder if the "Spirits won't become characters" thing is more referencing the logic that the spirits will point to what can be DLC characters. Like a spirit isn't going to become attached to a DLC character when they launch and instead a new spirit will come alongside the DLC that corresponds directly to that character.
In that way spirits won't become characters. Rather than being a mass deconfirmation it could be trying to detach the thought process that current spirits mean anything in regards to DLC like we are assuming they do from our minds. Random most likely wrong theory. lol

Yeah but we were talking about a specific character, I pointed out a handful of other tropes as well, I honestly just threw that one in with the other stronger tropes. Either way that's over with and I will never utter the words dark skin in any context for fear of the mob haha

1) Racism is a showing a negative bias to someone due to their heritage. Skin tone has nothing to do with this, otherwise Japan's treatment of the Ainu would not be seen as racist
