Making Graizen a living "never again" symbol of the odd one out "being bullied" is a bit disrespectful, IMO. People apologized, even he apologized for his part. I bet you the one thing the man wants more than anything is to forget the incident because both parties had faulty reactions. Don't use him as a hand-me-down shield against yourself to push away actual criticism to your character. We all have to either face our faults or ignore them if you're going to react in such a nuclear way.

Also, because Sakurai and/or the marketing team felt like it, nothing more nothing less.

Alright, I had to run time-sensitive errands so this is why my responses are pretty late. It's also the reason why my earlier replies were rushed. I'm sorry for that. Anyways...

I'm pretty miffed at Starbound @Tougon @Nekoo @Hydrualic Hydra @vaanrose Will and @Professor Pumpkaboo for not addressing the question I raised, which was "why is Yoshi not a higher priority in Smash promotion." Instead, you were either dismissive, tried to dilute the point, mocked it or tried to make it about me (which admittedly worked, though that was cause I was rushing my answers as I stated).

The only user in this thread who even ATTEMPTED to answer the question in good faith was Noipoi and I'm beginning to understand why he's considered a diamond in the rough.

My thinking is that if I were the promotional team for Smash, and I had to whittle the cast down to 20 to use in promotion, then Yoshi would definitely be in there. Yoshi not seemingly getting recognition in relation to his popularity was the crux of all my frustrations but none of you seemed to get that, ganging up on me thinking I wouldn't settle for anything less than "Yoshi being front and center of all the ads."

I'm beginning to see what FreeFox was talking about. This is the second day in a row where you used a person's passion for a character against them without taking things at face value. I get the (hopefully wrong) impression that the vast majority of you sees passionate fans as freaks who can't function in the normal world. If I was like most people I'd leave for how toxic things are getting, but I'm not most people. I can handle being ganged up on for merely doing what I do.

Now, I'll ask this question one more time, and if you can answer in good faith without being a smart***, being dismissive, trying to make it about me or diluting the point by saying "but my character wasn't in the ad," then zip your lip

Then I became Incineroarman and look where we are now!

Not only that, but 9 times out of 10, Tifa goes where Cloud goes.

It's kind of funny that Cloud's girlfriend (I don't care if you ship Aerith and Cloud, Aerith x Zack is the superior Aerith ship anyway) ended up among the most popular characters and subsequently goes almost everywhere with Cloud.

Sephiroth is Cloud's Yandere Stalker, which is why he shows up too.

Because other characters cater to the different notable demographics more effectively.

Yoshi never takes a leading role in promotion to my knowledge, unless it's a Yoshi game. I would assume for the same reason as Wario, because other characters within that umbrella Mario universe are bigger draws, and then it makes greater sense to target other audiences with characters from more disparate IPs than double down on an audience with a high degree of existing overlap.

Pushing Mario, Marth, and Villager casts a wider net than, let's say, Mario, Yoshi, and Wario. But he is on the cover of the game for the first time (where the entire starting roster wasn't also present), that's something.

Aerith x Cloud shippers should keep in mind that Aerith didn't love Cloud, she always loved Zack, she was just attracted to Cloud because he reminded her of Zack, which wasn't him.

I don't like Deltarune's soundtrack. Not a single song really stands out to me compared to Undertale besides Jevil's theme and Rude Buster. The songs just feel kinda.....meh.
