Nintendo is a Japanese company and usually is never exposed to these kinds of things. I'm undoubtedly sure that they and Sakurai himself didn't include the reference with racial tendencies in mind or meant to offend anyone, just like the Mexican outfitting in Super Mario Odyssey.

This SHOULD NOT be that hard to understand. While it's good that they're making the change, please do not think that they meant to include that attack reference with racial tendencies in mind.

I will say nothing more, but I want you all to leave with this in mind.

Not really.

I think most people are like that, to be honest.

Gameplay only really affects the people who play at tournament level unless the character is super dominant at pretty much all levels.

Nah, Noctis can definitely be unique.
Hell, as Dissidia shows, all of them are unique.
It's just I've got more nostalgia for other FF characters.

In fact, I'd say Noctis has one of my most favorite personalities for an FF protagonist. He's just a teenager that wants to hang out with his bros.

I guess people with feathers are always Natives? I get that it references the old game, but I’m Native and I don’t have a headdress laying around anywhere. It’s a pretty weird move for people offended. I don’t get the offense, personally.

TBH I think people largely overestimate how many people in this day and age actually got to play Chrono Trigger. It's one of the most celebrated Jrpgs of the NES era yet I don't actually know anyone whose played it

Well, general consensus is that it's the "BESTEST JRPG EVAR!" (unless that person prefers like Final Fantasy VI or something)

I've played it, but that was more than a decade ago (and I didn't beat it).

This is also true, because Nintendo is one of the VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY few Japanese companies that has a worldwide presence, much so on the level they have. But I would like to plead with the thread that no, most Japanese people aren't this racist or offensive towards a community.

No, Hamada from Gaki no Tsukai didn't mean to offend anyone when he used blackface-like makeup when he dressed up as Eddie Murphy for a special.
No, Atlus isn't meaning to offend anyone of the transgender community with Catherine: Full Body's character Rin being a "trap".

And no, Sakurai didn't mean to offend anyone when referencing this detail of the Game and Watch series of games towards Native Americans.

It should be THAT simple to understand.

In this day and age, it isn't just enough, unfortunately. You'll be scrutinized for the littlest thing. People go through other people's Twitter history to find dirt.

It's got a really fun positional combat system and cool team attacks and a really unique plot.
Plus, it's got dragonball art 1:1 so that's also a big plus

I'd also recommend trying out Radiant Historia which also has a unique combat system, team attacks, and unique plot

Found something interesing. Someone on the Smash Bros reddit pointed out that 5 of Dark Samus’ alt colors are based on the hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters. However, there’s no color based on Sylux.

We don’t know if this will mean anything, as we don’t even know if Sylux will be in Prime 4, but it’s certainly interesting.

It's considered by nearly everyone who's played it to be one of, if not the, definitive JRPG of the 90s. And with a New Game+ mode and a ton of endings to find, it's got a good amount of replayability. It was remade for the DS a while ago, so that's probably the best chance to play it. Assuming you have a DS/3DS and can find it in a used game store.

Unpopular opinion time: Other than Geno and Sora who I see mentioned quite a lot, I'm probably the only one who's not excited by a second Square character. There's so few I'd care to see. Meanwhile, the character being discussed for DLC is often brought by on the grounds that they are "well-known" rather than "well-liked" which is a huge difference.

This is why, despite me not having any association to Phoenix Wright, Doom Guy, or literally any MegaTen rep, the groups vouching for them pray for their inclusions because of their potential for the Smash roster rather than just being there "Because money. Preferably your kid's". Just something about half of the wishes feel genuine over others, which is why as uphill a battle as Geno and Isaac fans face, they're at least sincere about their most-wanted, and I admire that.
