In his Spawncast one of the guest said it's impossible they show a DLC there and will keep the fighter content secret until E3 (I absolutely don't believe this AT ALL, I refuse to think that we will have to wait 6 months to know any DLC after Piranha Plant)
Spawn then said that it could make sense so it's either Smash DLC or Metroid prime grand premiere... However take a look at this

Last VGAs, Nintendo showed both the final BotW DLC and the Bayo 3 premiere.

So there's precedent for two separate reveals.

We've seen only a Skell spirit from X. That's it. Nothing else. Which could mean:

1. They completely skipped XCX content in favor of XC2.
OR
2. They're holding off the content because Elma is one of the 5 DLC characters.

3. We haven't seen them yet. I highly doubt Formula is the only Xenoblade Chronicles X Spirit and if they were intentionally avoiding X then there wouldn't be any spirits at all. Wait till the final game to come up with these conclusions.

Dude if the ballot ever returns, vote the character you really want even if it is an assist trophy. I know I voted ridley, even if he was a stage hazard on wiiu, knowing perfectly that the ballot was for smash 4 instead of a new hypotetical super secret game.

This, a thousand times. Losing faith already doused the passion for some character wants last time. Use many computers and ISP adresses if you must.

Anyone else here excited for the 20+ victory pose compilations once the game releases.

Excited for the taunt compilations too

Those should be fun, if edited consistently.

Only thing we've seen is a Formula Skell Spirit.

You know what the sad thing is? Mother 3 to my knowledge has no official illustrations, so any other spirits that got will be limited to using sprites like Duster here.

If anything, a trophy would've been a stronger case against DLC inclusion too, since trophies involve more effort than Spirits (Sakurai himself indicated trophies were dropped for how much work they were in the direct)

I say the perfect solution to that would have been to let Ubisoft make every single one of them. Even those for other IPs that aren't theirs.

I've asked them about minecraft and im waiting to hear more if my source hears more.

They are just "given" info (sorry to have to be vague here) so we have to just kind of wait until their microsoft source says something about minecraft (so far they havent).

Hopefully with vergeben talking about minecraft content as DLC the Microsoft source will say something but so far they have not.

Definitetly still with you on your source. Definitely hope Banjo is one of those characters. It's about time he makes it into this game. He, fortunately, has a lot less competition compared to Geno (whom I'd also love to see) at the moment. Hopefully this "Minecraft content" is relegated to music/Mii costumes while Banjo is the actual collaborated character with a stage. Obviously it's not up to me, but I'm still trusting you and your source, since their confidence was primarily in Banjo anyway, even before the Grinch leak was fake.

Most people have realized that Incineroar is really unique and fun, and Piranha Plant looks like a really fun character. Golden Sun fans are still going through some stuff, but we’re getting there.

If any of you guys are legitimately upset about 3rd party characters getting into Smash, the one thing that I will say helped open me up to them was playing a ton of different series.

For some people it’s simply not possible, but after getting through Brawl and really loving how Snake played, I bought a PS3 and played MGS4, then got Twin Snakes on GameCube, then got the MGS Collection. Fell in love with the character and the series.

After that, I explored numerous other game series. The reason my main 3rd party hope (I’m pretty well off in terms of the roster as it is) is Lloyd Irving, and I really like Lloyd, after finally tracking down a used copy of Tales of Symphonia, was because the game just had a pretty cool story, memorable characters, solid voice acting...and that was just a few years ago. I highly recommend it.

Meanwhile, I come onto Smash forums and some avoid great 3rd party characters and series like the plague, and I simply don’t get it. There are some simply brilliant 3rd party games out there that you really should try if you have the opportunity. That’s how I branched out and have thus broadened my prospect pool. It’s worth it imo.

I decided to purchase The DarkSouls remastered edition on my switch, kinda to support the idea of darksouls doing well on switch (and also because being able to play it on teh go is great and I already had the prepare to die edition on steam anyways :V) and i'm wondering, how many Hardcore Nintendo fans here have played the switch version, and if that have been the first exposure to the series?

Anyway.. i could really recommend it to fans of Metroid, and to alesser extent, Castlevania.

Verge also gave credence to LOZ once upon a time.

Verge not going 100% on Steve being playable is enough for me to say. Maybe not.

LOZ had genuine leaks once upon a time... (heleaked the props used on e3 regarding smash)

ade X content? A Spirit or anything? Even Nia got a Mii costume and the entire Xeno 2 party seems to have Spirits, plus Xeno 2 music, yet I haven't seen a sin

I actually find interesting the lack of XBCX content... but certainly should be taken with caution... this could be a "Dark samus and chrom costumes are missing" or also could be a "Shadow AT and Skullki AT are missing and replaced with other ATs", or... "Isaac is not an AT on this game so DLC likely"

Would be only mildly interested on Elma, but i would LOVE New XBCX Music and stage.

Idol culture suuuuuuuuucks.
At least the anime idol fans don't bother real people.

considering my only experience with Idol Culture have been Perfect Blue... (and to a lesser extent, FE mirage sessions) yeah... it sucks DX

TBH, optimistic. Seeing my Bandana boy survive the onslaught of deconfirmations really has me looking forward to DLC speculation.

They put a lot of personality into incineroar. Not really a fan of how he plays, but if some people can enjoy him that's good

Not impossible to identify one of the unknown DLC characters at the end of that general direct...

Unlikely but ya.

Plant actually DID get leaked, but it was like a literal 10 hours before the Direct in a Vergeben comment that nobody noticed. Interesting right?

Actual footage from the direct was leaked. That's kind of my point. Everything leaks, but nobody in their right mind, not even Verg, was going to tell you guys Piranha Plant was playable. If there is any lesson to be learned from the Grinch, it's don't be a **** if you want people to share what they know.

As long as it isn't a cop-out like the Nindies direct. I still don't know what the deal with that one was beyond trying to be like the sempai Smash Directs (although Into the Breach seems appreciated enough).

Wouldn't be mad at all if we got Sylux, then my Metroid wishlist would be complete!

I mean they just announced DLC a month before the game came out.
The Fighter's Pass is an unprecedented concept. They clearly aren't playing by what we exactly normally expect

Bayo 3 and BOTW DLC were both announced last year, I don't think 2 announcements again would be too unrealistic.

But hat goomba probably wasn't shown for the same reason why other non-important trash mob/ mooks werent.
They showed waddle dee as a spirit which is atleast a half decent head nod of recognition.
I wouldnt get my hopes up at all for this characters inclusion... I feel like getting excited about hat goomba not being shown is like someone getting excited over wiggler not being shown.

I doubt we’ll get a demo cause I don’t think Sakurai would want World of Light cutscenes to leak(we already know there’s more than just the opening)

Are we really trying to compare minions to an established character like Bandana Dee in the year 2018 when not even regarding all other arguments we just got the ****ing Piranha Plant in or am I misunderstanding
