If there's a Boshi spirit but now a Mallow spirit I won't know how to feel.

I mean Mallow sucked but he should at least get something if Boshi does.

Am I the only one who thinks Mallow is underrated? Sure, he was a crybaby, but I thought he was actually kinda good, as in better than what most people make him out to be.

It's the first number that popped into my head when thinking about how many spirits are in the game.

No one knows how many there are and we probably won't unlock them all until like 2022.

So this is going to be my first smash, can someone explain why the online stuff in the direct was considered underwhelming? It seems like everyone is upset with how online play handles matchmaking but im not exactly sure why.

I think people are overreacting a little but it's warranted too. Because there are so many options to choose how you want to play it creates a problem with finding someone that wants to play that same way. This could cause you to be stuck in loading limbo for a long time or force you to alter how you want to play just for the sake of finding a match. I wouldn't call it a step forwards or backwards, we will just have to see how it plays out. I doubt it will be a problem once the game launches since there will be a ton of players for all sorts of different styles (items vs no items, 2 stock vs 3 stock, etc.... Further into the games life most players will just adopt whatever the common tournament rules are for the sake of consistency and practice.

I liked him as a character but he was really bad in battle once you got Peach.

SMRPG was really unbalanced when the best party members statistically were Geno and Peach by a substantial margin.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Most of Doomguy's weapons are energy based, even excluding the weapons from the newer games which gives him even more options to work with.
Really the only iconic weapon that isn't energy based is the super shotgun.

Now, a general direct with maybe a small dlc tease, I could... probably understand.

They literally showed King K. Rool as a playable fighter a spirit. And Hii Fit Trainer.

The King K. Rool spirit is for Kaptain K. Rool, and the Wii Fit Spirit is for the Tree pose specifically. They aren't spirits of the fighters, they're spirits of those specific things.

It won't surprise me if Dixie and Isaac were planned but then cut.

With the Infantry & Tanks AT gone, I hope Andy is found in unused content as a playable fighter. Hopefully leading to him being DLC. Maybe maybe.

In short, sorry mains, but you unfortunate bunch got bodied. Tweek ain't going back to him anytime soon. That's a shame since really I wanted to experiment with him competitively. I know nothing's preventing me from doing that, but I've already committed myself to playing as well as I did in Brawl, as well as learning . And in addition to co-maining these, there's a bunch of characters that scream secondary to me (my Sm4sh main is particularly on my mind).

Pretty sure the Aztec and Incan Empires engaged in a lot of warring with other Mexican/South American tribes.

Aztec and Mayans are one of my favorite time periods, they were so interesting. That death whistle that made news recently is so fascinating on how they decided to engineer that.

I've always wanted to do Anthropology and Archaeology since I was a kid but I don't really live in a good region that supports it well and the pay is kinda ****. I'm also not that much of a fan of relocating to countries a la soldiers, that's always been a hidden fear of mine. Maybe I'll do it though, I still got a good year or two to decide.
