So if the Vergeben rumors are true, who do you you guys think the second Square representative will be?

Geno feels the most likely imo, with the Mii Costume + Splash Screen it received in Smash 4, plus he has been requested by quite a few people. I'd certainly appreciate having him in if we can get some tunes from Super Mario RPG (originals, remixes, or both), and he could have a really unique playstyle.

My pipedream want from SE would be Crono, but he's fairly obscure by today's standards, even if Chrono Trigger itself is a classic (and one of the best SNES games for many). Heck, I'd be happy if he showed up as an Assist, because at least CT would have some recognition, which is all I ask for (especially if it led to a new game ).

Sora would be cool if it happened, if only for the bangin' music he'd bring, and Erdrick (or another Dragon Quest rep) would serve as a good substitute for Crono for me, simply because I love Toriyama's art style. Whoever it is though, I will welcome with open arms.

While on the topic of Mii costumes becoming characters, don't be too surprised if the next Bandai Namco character turns out to be Heihachi from Tekken or Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia.

Not in the base game at this point, but as DLC, there's a strong possibility.

Nah, but seriously, it's kind of funny we got Cloud in Smash 4, since that was around the time that Lightning was being pushed as the poster girl for Final Fantasy as a series. Of course, Cloud has always been popular since his inception, so it makes total sense, but it is funny to think about in retrospect, especially since Lightning is not pushed out much anymore (seemingly replaced by Noctis).

Not in the base game at this point, but as DLC, there's a strong possibility.

Not gonna lie, Gilgamesh would be the essential retro character if Mii Costumes were the main focus. I still would take all three of they all happened.

Lloyd would be really cool imo and would bring back a lot of nostalgia for me, as Tales of Symphonia was my introduction to the Tales series. He'd also bring a unique moveset with him with his dual swords, and I fully expect him to have moves representing the series such as Demon Fang. Also, really great music present throughout the series, and I would really hope that Fighting of the Spirit would be one of the songs to make it in.

I haven't played Tekken much, but I do remember Heihachi quite well. If he could be translated properly, I think he'd make for an interesting addition; not only is he a villain, but an old dude to boot in most of his appearances, which is something we don't have much of in Smash. We could even recreate Street Fighter x Tekken with him in the roster.

Heihachi has one major thing in favor and it's that Sakurai at least considered him for 4, the problem is that he hit a roadblock on how to implement him. It's tough to say whether he'll go back to try again.

Lloyd has more going for him than people give him credit for by being both a relevant and popular character with the Smash and more casual fanbases, on top of getting a Mii costume post-ballot that could've been as a nod towards him doing well in it.

Actually, I take it back, Heihachi more than justifies his place over Snoop Dogg if his Final Smash has him strapping his opponents to a rocket and shooting them off into space.

He's from the Namco game, The Tower of Drauga (pretty much retro). He's also known as Gil, and has this Mii Costume:

Not necessarily the highest priority, but he has a chance, and definitely could end up being a surprise character if revealed.

Toss up between Geno and Sora. I'm leaning towards Sora at the moment, he's got both popularity and is relevant/iconic enough to get the Average Joe interested. Lara Croft's iconic too, but not requested much by Smash fans. Crono's got the Smash support, but that's dwarfed by Geno and Sora. Dragon Quest is as huge as Final Fantasy, however no one character stands out from that series like Cloud did for Final Fantasy for support and their icon status.

I'd rather have Lara or Crono, but Geno and/or Sora would make the most amount of people happy.

If it's Sora, I would have no problem with this since Kingdom hearts is good, and I even hasn't play it yet, might get ps4 and collection of kingdom hearts soon (I'm Xbox one user) to get ready for kingdom heart 3.

I have another question. If your main is in the E3 demo, are there any gameplay aspects to your main that you wonder about? For example, I want to know if Link's d-tilt still spikes, as I haven't seen anyone try it.

Someone recently discovered what appears to be lagless/instant get up glitch when Samus is using her tether slightly too high for it to snap.

I'm more curious if it's something that will get removed than if other characters with tethers can also do it. It'd be huge for characters like Ivysaur and the Belmonts.

Now that you got me thinking about this, you would also be unable to start with and sense they don't have figures (yet). Wolf's amiibo is coming out at launch I think, Majora's Mask amiibo could count for Young Link, and Charizard will probably count for the trainer as a whole.

Well, it's not that I hate her, but I want to know why she exists at all. I don't really understand.

To be honest, I have the most interest in Roy for FE, and it just came out of nowhere recently. Chrom is barely behind for me.

In regards to character unlocks, I think echo fighters will have their base fighter as part of their unlock condition.

So, you'd need to unlock Marth before unlocking Lucina, Pit before Dark Pit, and so on, making Dark Samus the only echo fighter to be immediately able to be unlocked as she's so far the only echo fighter to be based on a starting character.
