I mean, the entire week-long delay was inevitable, anyways. But I'm sure we are going to see a surprise or two.

There's also the fact that leak culture has such a stranglehold on Smash, and things like Gematsu and NinkaRose basically took over Smash4 speculation near the end of its life.

Can someone give me a quick run-down of Loz’s crap? People are saying he’s unreliable but all I know is:
- He said every fighter was coming back, and Daisy would be a newcomer, which was right
- He said Isaac, Incineroar, and Skull Kid would happen eventually
- He said K. Rool would be in the direct, maybe also said Richter (not sure), but also went into details about a new mode that wasn’t talked about at all. He also said there would be some Heroes vs Villains theme, which people say didn’t happen, but it was the entire focus on the K. Rool reveal.

The middle part of that last point is the only thing I see incorrect. Did I miss something?

After posting an accurate leak related to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate information shared at E3 2018, GameFAQs user Loz18 made another thread about a Nintendo Direct in August stating:

• The Nintendo Direct will come around August
• Info will be shown from the title screen to the menu options.
• Three modes will be shown besides All-Star Mode.
• Tournament mode is returning.
• The new mode will be revealed and it will be the primary way to unlock characters.
• About a week before the August Direct, he made some more posts mentioning a cutscene with a heroes vs. villains theme, but not part of a story mode.

Loz18 has made several posts stating that Skull Kid is probably playable. A few days after the Direct, he closed his GameFAQs account, but not before stating on Twitter that Dixie Kong has a high chance of being playable, and possibly Isaac (these tweets have since been deleted).

Whoever is showing the discord is either trolling or misinterpreting; he said "not the reveal" and mentioned more than just Isaac.

So i'm going through the music posted on the smash blog, and i gota say i really hate all these remixes. Theyre adding way too much to the songs. Id much rather hear the originals, or something that is a remaster of the originals, but still sounds like the original - with better quality.

I think it'd be great to hear a pokemon or god forbid, a Final Fantasy remix. I'd hope for the "Vs. Lance/Red" music from GSC or like any track from FFVI

I was pained during the reveal trailer because the Dark Samus fight theme didn't play. I'm hoping that's in Ultimate.

Finally, I think it'd be cool to get a track from Joy Mech Fight, cuz we got Sukapon now

He was right about everything he said for the E3 Direct, but he never got the character reveals. No, he did NOT leak Daisy.

- He said we'd get three game modes as well as All-Star (we definitely did not get All-Star, and in terms of modes its hard to say what was actually a mode and what was an option)
- He said they'd do a walkthrough of the title screen through the options menu (this was blatantly false, we only got the main menu)
- He said they'd show off the main mode where you unlock characters (again blatantly false)
- He said they'd show off Tournament Mode (this is the one thing he got right without any issues... but its not a hard guess at all and doesn't count)
- He said there'd be a Heroes vs. Villains theme (while this sorta happened, he made it out to be a much bigger deal than it actually was)

I think there was something else he said as well, but this is the gist of it.

At no point before the Direct did he ever even imply he knew K. Rool was in the game. He heavily guessed it, in various PM's and such he shared, but he had no idea it'd be in that Direct or that the Heroes vs. Villains theme was specific to K. Rool. Even after the Direct he continued to insist it was a bigger deal, using that as justification for Skull Kid.

He definitely did NOT leak Richter either. He didn't even say Simon would be in the August Direct.

1. My go-to wanted music usually consists of Xenoblade Chronicles X or FF7 but I’m changing it up and doing this...

With a possible remix with elements of Vs Grunt music and maybe even Vs Guzma.

2. My go-to would probably be Rundus Battle Theme or Overpass Fromm SF4 but I changing it up and including a composed version of this gem:

The hatred for leakers is kind of funny as if they're all awful people and all have the attitudes and nature of the current crop of Smash Ultimate leaks.

Because vaanrose is one of the nicest dudes on this board and he was a major player in the last few Smash 4 leaks.

Ninka was far from a butthole. Never once do I recall him having anything negative to say about the community or presenting his info in a way that treated anyone or anything negatively.

Gematsu got a negative vibe and attitude, but Sal wasn't a bad dude. He legit just was a guy running a small website who got lucky and was passing on info and he got the worst attitude from the community instead of the other way around.

The only prior leaker for Smash I recall being a jack ass was that dude who was obsessed with Peach and was a creeper during the Brawl era.

There's actually far more a history of leakers being treated like **** without being assholes, than them being assholes or people with negative attitudes like LoZ and Verge.
