My sources say that Gardevoir is a Gothitelle echo. Confirmed during the next leak this Thursday at 2pm EST.

I have a physical copy and I couldn't agree more. I love how you can so clearly see the Metroid inspiration but everything the game does subverts your expectations one way or another. A small hole? You think you'll get a morph ball-like upgrade? Nah, have a ****ing drone that you can control on your own. An indestructible wall? Gotta find a way around? Nope, get a teleport. And so on and on
All the weapons and upgrades are also just so fun to mess around with, especially some of the later ones and no weapon feels the same, all having different uses or fitting for certain playstyles.
Ugh, now I'm thinking of an Axiom Verge fighter, great, it'll never happen. I'd hope at least for a boss though, many bosses would fit right in with Dracula and Rathalos

Hot Take: Axiom Verge is better than Super Metroid. Though, the music is better in Metroid, but everything else, I just can't go back to a 2D Metroid game.

Common mistake actually. Nintendo sends Samurai. They only send Ninja to Sony to Inception the idea to them that crossplay is for losers in order to secretly undermine their regime and once again reign surpreme as the console champions of the universe.

According to my source, there will be no more characters that will be added to the primary artwork for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. The reason for this is because every fighter represented there will all be fairly easy to unlock by either playing casually the other modes, or by playing Spirits.
With that said, there will be 12 fighters in the game that will be incredibly difficult to unlock, as their unlock conditions are all going to be tied down to Spirits mode--either in part or in whole. With the final fighter in the game requiring 100% completion of Spirits.
He gave me a full list of these remaining fighters. 6 of whom are unique, and another 6 being echoes. However, many of these fighters seem really hard to believe. I honestly do not believe we'll be getting any characters from newly represented IP's like Tekken or Golden Sun, and at least one or two of these Echo Fighters seem really far fetched. And this is in spite my best bets to vet my source.
Still, as I am not totally bought into what he is saying, I'm going to give you what are presumably going to be our next couple of reveals:

And if you really want to know why I do not trust my source completely, it's because he also stated that Bandana Dee would be an Echo of Kirby. Among other things.

Many people are waiting for a Nintendo Direct. There is titles still releasing this year that people want to know. This is where the direct comes along. This takes place September 12, or 13, or 15. My source doesn’t say witch exactly. (I don’t even no if this is real thanks to my cousin working at Nintendo because he didn’t show me proof.) Anyways, let's go straight to it. My personal prediction for a early September Direct:
-Online is big headline
-Switch Q4 is revealed
-Smash Bros. Demo is officially revealed
-Smash Bros. reveal: Either Isaac (and maybe Felix or Matthew), Skull Kid, or Incineroar.
>Wrestler/Heel Fighter moveset in Smash Bros, an actual, prominent fighting style that hasn't been represented yet.
>Waifubait who's moveset is already exhausted between Zelda, Palutena, and Mewtwo

I feel like it fits in more with the theme of Everyone is Here since Gardevoir is a pretty popular Pokémon and existed during the Ballot era, unlike Gen 7 Pokémon which were after that era.
If we’re going off of this Gardevoir is the one who makes more sense imo, plus we haven’t seen her as a Pokéball yet which I find highly suspicious.

The majority of Pokeball items and Assist trophies that we have seen are showcased as new ones only. Exceptions like Waluigi and Abomasnow exist, but there's still a good chunk left to be revealed.

If the next unique fighter isn't Shantae, Crash or even Rayman, it has to be the most goddamned goofiest character around to have 69 as their number.
As hilarious as that would be, that'd be a huge disservice. Though I half-expect an Echo countdown towards the 69 reveal in the next Direct.
