I hope Impa is not an echo just for the fact that everyone wants her as a Sheik echo and Sheik has literally the most boring move pool of any Smash character.

I am a very passionate Impa supporter who basically started the whole ordeal and I will take Echo status over no playable appearance any day of the week. Same with Dixie Kong.

Actually, I pictured Alm as a Ike Echo but with Link’s Neutral B. Also Marth’s tipper mechanics. Quick Draw can be Double Lion. Maybe borrow Roy’s F Smash?

I don’t know however if they’re willing to add another mash up Fire Emblem Sword Lord who borrows from all the Sword Lords tho. But am down for it regardless!

Celica as a Robin Echo but faster and with Roy’s Neutral B as Ragnarok and maybe also Din’s Fire instead of Nosferatu. And while we’re at it, add some of Marth’s regular attacks or F Smash or something.

Really, I do hope there will be more Echoes who are as ambitious as Chrom. It has a lot of potential with a roster as big as Ultimate.

I mean, Chrom is just=Roy+better hitboxes+worse recovery

We don't know if they can go full Frankenstein with them yet.

I’m going to be perfectly honest with you folks. We get these types of threads almost every day so I feel bad that I am going to be apart of this, but I feel like I have actual legit information.

I only say this because of my source, who is credible IN MY OPINION. Let me preface this by saying that I do not claim responsibility if anything in this is wrong, nor am I trying to offend anyone here. You can choose to believe the information, or simply discard it. I wouldn’t say that it’s THE most amazing information, but I do hope some of you would appreciate it.

I am not here to troll, and I am not making guesses. Again, this comes from a source that I hold deeply so if youre expecting names, numbers, pictures and etc, then do NOT continue reading and go to another topic please. Thanks for your consideration.

Now for the information:

-There is a test build that currently has Simon, K Rool, Dark Samus, Isabelle, Incineroar, Ken, and Chrom as well as others from the original test build so I would assume he meant Ridley, Inklings, and other returning veterans.

-Now apparently, there is another build going around too that has several characters switched out. In that build is has several characters missing such as Isabelle and ken. In that build, my source said Richter, Shadow, Geno, and Chorus Kids are in it alongside other veterans minus the few echo characters.

-Skull Kid is also in but he wasn’t sure which play build as apparently he was in one but then not in the other?

-Sprits mode is sort of an Adventure mode? Apparently, the Sprits act much like stickers. That you can put on the trophies for power ups and usage such as assist trophies. The mode overall is like Kirby’s Great Cave Offensive in which you can find trophies of Nintendo history.

-Classic Mode is designed towards each character with a special stage deigned for that series.

-All-star Mode is “8 player smash mode” throughout the years again like Wii U/3DS

-Squad Strike is a continuous Battle that when you loose a stock you comeback as your next character

-Target test has about 7 different stages

-A baseball launcher is an item. It sets itself up and throws balls across the stage

-Luigi’s Poltergeist is apparently an item now, it drags people in and shoots them out. Luigi keeps his Poltergeist for his final smash but apparently the scene is different.

That’s all I got, and possibly all I will be getting. This is simply a rumor and should be treated as such. Again, I am not trolling and stating this is a fact.

I honestly doubt this because I don't think Nintendo trusts the random beta testers and their friends anymore considering as this is how both the past two game's rosters got leaked. Not to mention Nintendo keeping lips shut about Smash Ultimate's development and trying to keep things from being leaked this time like sending out catfish info to catch leakers.

On the topic of Squad Strike, I think it should start as the tourney standard and then be demoted to side event if it doesn't end up working.
Two reasons why:

1. Side events do not get upgraded to main events, this does not happen in the smash community, it's now or never.
2. One of the main arguments against customs was that the transition from customs to no customs would be rough, a lot of practice would be wasted. I don't think this applies here as the core gameplay will be identical between the two modes, it should logically be seamless if it doesn't end up working.

That was how I felt about Dark Samus aswell, Dixie also has moveset potential beyond being an echo, but if that's what it takes to get her in at all then it's a sacrifice worth making.

Dude, of course Alm should be link. Link's f smash is literally just double lion. Not to mention their fighting styles are very similar.

My ideas for changes to Celica are: tipper instead of levin sword. Reflavored spells. Increased strength of spells. Limited usages replaced with damage mechanic. Down b replaced with counter. Slightly faster running speed. Possibly a changed dash attack, MAYBE. Ragnarok would be the final smash.
