Mii Fighters look even cooler now, no objections to that from me.Don't forget they will most certainly talk about 5 minutes about Mii fighters. I know that won't really create much hype at all but still they have some things to clarify and I'm convinced they will do so tomorrow.
Do Miis use custom moves like in Sm4sh? or do they have a few preset movesets to choose from? Are costumes making a return? how does this voice choice work? How are Miis gonna be playable in online mode? (under which restrictions/rules) While I'm not the biggest Mii supporter myself, I'm pretty sure they need to clarify these things pre-release and a Smash specific Direct seems to be the only moment they will be able to answer these questions in the near future until the game launches. Sorry folks, 5 minutes 4 Mii talk reserved.
Smash Adventure: The new adventure mode, borrowing elements from Smash Run and Subspace's Great Maze, with these traits:What modes are y'all hoping to be revealed in the direct?
Ugh, this would be so amazing, but I just don't see it happening. They'd have to limit it so much. But I want it ba-ba-ba bad!A multi-character stock option like PM has.
Smash 4 already proved that it can be done, and it's long overdue.
Whatever single player mode we have to do to unlock characters would be cool to see. I know a lot of people want something like the Great Maze, and I agree. What modes are y'all hoping to be revealed in the direct?
Considering the Smash portion of the E3 presentation was only 25 minutes long and we still got an info dump I think you're grossly underestimating the power of SakuraiAdventure, Classic, and maybe one new mode is what I would expect
The question is how long will the Direct be? If it's like 20 minutes, I don't see a lot happening. If 30-40 minutes, I'm expecting some info dump
One of my bingo slots is the direct taking longer than 30 minutes.Adventure, Classic, and maybe one new mode is what I would expect

I don't think I'm underestimating. Knowing Sakurai's history with long directs, I'm expecting it to happen. I just don't want to get myself too hyped for nothing so the lower I put my expectations, the better it'll work for me to be hypedConsidering the Smash portion of the E3 presentation was only 25 minutes long and we still got an info dump I think you're grossly underestimating the power of Sakurai

Also I hope this voice clips help me play as Segata Sanshiro better.

Not that I'm arguing for Ken specifically, but whether a character is a regular fighter, a clone, an Echo, a cameo in a Final Smash, a cameo in a moveset, a stage cameo, a stage hazard, an Assist Trophy, or a regular trophy, the supposed "licensing fee" is the exact same....you missed the entire point of the post I made.
Why pay the licensing fee for a character you're not going to dedicate your full attention to?
Characters don't just represent their franchise. Take a look at Smash 4's newcomers. Each one is designed with representing the mechanics of their game in mind, especially the third parties. Ryu isn't just there because he's iconic, he's there to also represent Street Fighter and everything it represents, and that's why he has the unique mechanic of special inputs. He's representing traditional fighting games. Considering Ken would play identical to him due to them representing Street Fighter II so much (even though Street Fighter V has a much more unique Ken), why should Nintendo bother to pay the fee for entry? Ken in the old days literally exists to be a clone of Ryu. Ken will get in either as a unique character or not at all, and considering the love is solely for Street Fighter II (and I guess Street Fighter IV where yes he was still a clone), Ken's chances of making it in are slim to none.
That reminds me that I need one of the customization voice options to be ridiculously absurd.I actually wonder what the Mii Fighters will sound like.
セガサターン、シロ!
She'll be here, as part of Palutena's Guidance.Viridi is all I need
... Uh... I didn't miss your point, you must of missed my point. I even said I agree with most your points......you missed the entire point of the post I made.

Would you take Curtis Arnott? That reminds me that I need one of the customization voice options to be ridiculously absurd.
This is my biggest wish. I really hope a character people aren't commonly talking about is revealed.Honestly, dudes.
They're gonna reveal a character tomorrow that's outside of the same 4-ish characters everyone talks about in here on loop and I hope it happens.
Then explain why Cloud didn't come with any other trophies, I mean, if the license to all FFVII content is equal, surely there should be at least a few more trophies, right? Not that I'm arguing for Ken specifically, but whether a character is a regular fighter, a clone, an Echo, a cameo in a Final Smash, a cameo in a moveset, a stage cameo, a stage hazard, an Assist Trophy, or a regular trophy, the supposed "licensing fee" is the exact same.
If anything less than a regular fighter is considered "not dedicating full attention to", then why do we have ANYONE ELSE but the playable fighters?
DLC Budget is a thing. Those are all separate characters to be licensed. They didn't get licensed. It just falls under the "banner" of FFVII, but each character takes money to license. Then explain why Cloud didn't come with any other trophies, I mean, if the license to all FFVII content is equal, surely there should be at least a few more trophies, right?
I hope you mean all of them. That reminds me that I need one of the customization voice options to be ridiculously absurd.
You've missed my argument entirely. Then explain why Cloud didn't come with any other trophies, I mean, if the license to all FFVII content is equal, surely there should be at least a few more trophies, right?
...and that argument doesn't even work for the first party characters so you should've specified third party.
Honestly, let Xander Mobus be one of the voice options. Please.Would you take Curtis Arnott?
It would by super hyyyype. Like I keep saying, I think either 2 unique fighters will be revealed in addition to an echo (so, one of them is the unknown one), or one echo, one unique, and demo reveal. This is my biggest wish. I really hope a character people aren't commonly talking about is revealed.
Didn't we hear a sample of some of the Mii Fighter voices? They didn't really sound synthesized to me.Honestly, let Xander Mobus be one of the voice options. Please.
I know they will probably be synthesized voices, but just one of them, pleaaaase be Xander Mobus.

The hypiest ones are the most out of left field for me haha
Guess one of the options should be Jason David Frank so I can hear his grunts and HYAH from Power Rangers lmaoThat reminds me that I need one of the customization voice options to be ridiculously absurd.
My point being that Ken's literally just "Red Ryu" and paying extra for him to not even being unique would likely be a waste in Sakurai's mind.DLC Budget is a thing. Those are all separate characters to be licensed. They didn't get licensed. It just falls under the "banner" of FFVII, but each character takes money to license.
The point is a specific character won't take additional licensing just because they're an Echo or a more unique character. That's irrelevant. The IP is still being used. The only extra licensing would be using additional characters as costumes at best, and that's iffy too.
Did we? I must have missed that. Where did you get that from?Didn't we hear a sample of some of the Mii Fighter voices? They didn't really sound synthesized to me.
You could hear some grunts when Sakurai was talking about them. They sounded like actual voice actors.Did we? I must have missed that. Where did you get that from?
Mii Fighter voices, but all the voices come from Tomodachi Life.I know they will probably be synthesized voices, but just one of them, pleaaaase be Xander Mobus.

I agree. I hope we get a character like or even :ultrobin.Honestly, let Xander Mobus be one of the voice options. Please.

Eh, to be honest Ryu does have his Joudan Sokutogeri from SFIIIBecause he doesn't acknowledge anything that's not SFII or SFIV, the unique Ken from SFV doesn't count in this case.
Alright, this is going to be a hilarious game. I'm happy. You could hear some grunts when Sakurai was talking about them. They sounded like actual voice actors.
Ryu's Forward Smash comes straight from Street Fighter 3. Perfect shielding sound comes straight from Street Fighter 3. Ryu is inspired by SF 2, that doesn't mean Sakurai doesn't acknowledge any other SF game.My point being that Ken's literally just "Red Ryu" and paying extra for him to not even being unique would likely be a waste in Sakurai's mind.
Because he doesn't acknowledge anything that's not SFII or SFIV, the unique Ken from SFV doesn't count in this case.
I really don't think a trophy costs the same to license as a selling point (character) of the game.
Yeah, it doesn't work that way. He'd be paying to use him whether he's an alternate costume specifically, an echo, a clone, a semi-clone, a unique fighter, an AT, a Trophy, or otherwise. He's paying extra money for that character only, and it won't cost "extra" either. My point being that Ken's literally just "Red Ryu" and paying extra for him to not even being unique would likely be a waste in Sakurai's mind.
