[Guh-Huzzah!]

Claiming there are ways one is "supposed" to play a game strikes me as very naive. There's no such thing as a correct way to play a game, as long as you enjoy what you're doing that's the only thing that matters. Some people enjoy the competitive aspect of the game, and they definitely enjoy making money, nothing wrong with that.

As for getting money for playing a game, well, there's money in entertainment, and people enjoy watching pro players show off their skill. I'd find it stranger if they DIDN'T make money for that.

That is true. what i meant was that it can sometimes diminish from a game when you are only doing it for money.

We did get Robin/Lucy a month after E3, so the timeframe checks out. But if it’s only Japanese, then this may be a big Japan favorite. But then again, there have been quite a few fake leaks for Mario Tennis DLC as well...

I’d hope, but there’s no way this is the Dragonborn. Maybe on the off chance it’s K. Rool?

But hey, possibility of news next week.

If it were Dovahkiin, I’d be simultaneously stoked to get my most wanted, and a little bit annoyed since I recently got a good moveset idea and am working on writing that up...

I would personally say that his weaknesses have been exaggerated a bit. Check out Larry Lurr's video of his opinion on him, as he is more optimistic about compared with everyone else.

It's too soon to say at this point in time. E3 build attributes are subject to change in the final release.

Since we're on the topic of whether or not certain changes make a character better or worse, do you think Rosalina got buffed or nerfed? I know we don't have much to go off of, but there are two major changes to her. The first is her new neutral air. The second is her ability to shield Luma.

I'd have to see if Luma retained its impressive knockback, but so far, that actually seems like a buff. Anyone else agree?

Its nor true at all. Only character people should be worried about now is icies. Everyone else is looking at least decebt to very good. Ike,pikachu, and pokemon trainer are going to be VERY good at this rate.

Zero in ultimate would be cool but hes be a top tier for sure.

Only thing from Rosalina that I know for sure was buffed was her beauty

Yeah, I’m expecting Ashley here. K. Rool may be a possibilty since he has done a Mario Sports spinoff before, and they may expect he’d be a good seller if they wanted to announce him in both, but I’m thinking Ashley.

It's very difficult to say without having gotten an extensive look at her moveset, she's the kind of character who we really need to see in action and can't just judge off of a short clip as a lot of her strength lies in numbers and knockback angles. Like, the shield buff is pretty significant, but maybe it's to make up for Luma being made easier to kill? And if they fix her up-air cheesing then that's a huge blow to her.

I'd be very surprised if they made her stronger, I think any buffs they give her will no doubt be compensated with nerfs elsewhere, I can imagine them tuning her to be less frustrating to play against while trying to keep her power intact. She's the kind of character who's likely to always be at least decent though, unless they give her the launch Smash 4 Meta Knight treatment and completely gut her hitboxes or something extreme like that, her moveset and concept is just really strong at its core.

He's going through the whole "Oh no he got nerfed, noooooooooo" reaction thing, remember 1.1.6.'s effect on ? Some people were claminging Bayonetta was "ruined" and that they went waaay overboard with the nerfs. I think this is similar, still has tons of things going and people are exaggerating imo, Up-air and up-smash being nerfed, dash attack and down tilt being nerfed, fox illusion getting nerfed and reflector being only able to be used once before landing are big changes, but I highly doubt they're going to be close to enough to make a arguable Top 5 character not viable.

What would your reaction be in a hypothetical scenario where the main character of Dragalia Lost (this guy) were to be a DLC fighter for Ultimate?

Looks pretty cool, has a sword, and looks like Shulk's little brother so I'm 100% in.

I think if they kept her exactly the same she'd be just fine. Rage + Luma's base knockback was the problem most had with her. Take away one and the problem resolves. They already nerfed rage in Ultimate so I see no reason to nerf Rosa.

I'd like to see some adjustments that Dabuz mentioned in his Rosa video. Her playing more like a puppet fighter and less like Luma's babysitter would make her far more interesting in my opinion.

While I have no problem letting people set themselves up for delusion/disappointment, the whole "a month after E3 = reveal thing" is a completely different case this time.

Robin was revealed in 2014, a full year and a month after the initial E3 reveal.

Olimar was also revealed in July 2013, being the first veteran shown outside of the intial trailer, and being just before the same "2nd Monday" Robin was revealed.

Nothing is convincing enough to fall back on in terms of patterns since we know literally every veteran already, and have yet to see how they'll go about revealing new characters this time (we only know "there won't be as many this time"). So using old patterns is like expecting the square peg to fit in the round hole.

I'm not ruling out something could happen. But it's not going to be because of any "special date" that Sakurai has memorized as "reveal Smash info this specific timeframe" or anything.

There's a Japan-only Nintendo Livestream about Smash Bros. and Mario Tennis next week (it seems to be a tournament of some kind?), they... might reveal someone then. Time will tell.

Just remember its a demo. Things are bound to change and many of the top players who were able to give the dev team their opinions likely had things to say about new Fox.

I doubt he's going to be that bad in the official release.

The Side-B nerf alone is a travesty tbh.

It's not just a Demo, it's a Demo Sakurai said he saw some bugs in.
The Fox Side-B nerf could actually be a bug.

Marth looks so pretty in this game. All the pretty boys looks much nicer in Ultimate. Very happy about that. I will guess the next update will be about Lynn, maybe.

A concern that I have right now would be Rosalina's mobility. I would say make her more mobile, but having a Luma by her side could result in a lot of hate. Making Rosalina heavier would also feel good, since I feel that only four characters should be lighter than Kirby; Pichu, Jigglypuff, Squirtle, and Mr. G&W. Now, I'm not saying the Rosalina should be heavy, but putting her at around Zelda's weight should seem okay.

But my biggest concern is the custom specials dilemma, since Rosalina had some good custom special moves that she could use for different match-ups; Shooting Star Bit for long-ranged assaults; Luma Warp for putting the Luma at certain spots quickly, and is safer to use against those who have reflectors; Guardian Luma for match-ups against those who have no projectile attacks.

We need to stop freaking out every time Nintendo announces something.

You know that Japan Expo in France that just ended? The one where everyone thought a newcomer could possibly get revealed? Absolutely nothing happened. No new character was revealed, no new stages were seen, and no characters got disconfirmed.

This tournament thing in Japan that features Smash and Mario Tennis Aces could very well be just a tournament and nothing else.
