We need a new Zelda game to make Midna relevant again in the main series so she can be added to Smash as playable. Plus Midna is awesome. Best companion by a mile.

It's hard to do that especially if you played Twilight princess but i'd be all for it

I swear I remembered hearing the Zelda people debating bringing Midna back in a game because of her popularity. I've never been the biggest Zelda fan growing up but Twilight Princess gripped me. Midna is one of the reasons. Such a great character. They can find a way to shoehorn her back in a game.

- My main girl since Brawl, I'm obsessed with her design she's so freaking cute and she looks actually decent now, they really went out of their way to fix zelda after however many years
- My other main girl, she looks great in this game (that idle needs work tho lol)
- Another of my mains, Hopefully that model is fixed before release
- HE'S BACK BABY! Oh how I have waited so long to have my Wolf back in the game and he looks as fun as ever with a million times less jank
- **** YEAH, I'm still in disbelief he's in the game and he looks fun as hell

TBH, I am loving how SSBU is being shown off. I love how they shown off every veteran and didn't add any as DLC because one of my least fave things about SSB4 is the amount of veterans that were announced as DLC. but without this being an SSB4 rant I'll actually speak about how I feel about Smash Ultimate.

It makes me glad that if they ever do add DLC (which is very possible), they would ALL have to be newcomers as there are no leftover veterans to add as DLC.

As for Ideas, none of my character ideas are super likely but I'd like to see Birdo, Micaiah and Lightning (even though I don't anticipate a second Final Fantasy character). As for modes, I really want Smash Run (forget Smash Tour, it felt out of place) because it was such a fun mode especially because it had a lot of enemies from different series. If they don't do Smash Run then do a Melee styled adventure mode with levels like Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule's Underground Maze


For this, I'd pick Link, Pichu, Snake, Ike and Bowser

Mario is an all-around fighter who uses his wide variety of techniques to respond to any situation. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he shows up in his Wedding tux and his Builder outfit, and Cappy even makes an appearance!

Nice in theory, but Bowser Jr. isn't Yoshi's villain, that's Baby Bowser, and Mewtwo isn't really Pikachu's villain.

Kirby, Meta Knight and Dedede are like the Super Friends these days. Star Allies.

No, I really like Sonic's icon because it's based off the Sonic Team logo (although adjusted slightly to fit Sonic's appearance in Smash better.)

Shiek is actually based on the Sheikah armor set from Breath of the Wild, with the only main difference beign that Shiek's Amiibo Mask didn't had a scarf, but Smash Ultimate gave it one as a nod to the Stealth Mask.

Due to this, there's no Zelda character in Smash Ultimate that has a TP-based design, ironic taking into account that that was the main look for all the non-toon Zelda Cast in Brawl and Smash 4 (good riddance to those looks though, because outside of Link i really disliked all of their designs)

I'll miss TP Dorf, but I'm glad that they made OoT Dorf look good in this game.

I always hated the way Ganondorf looked in Melee, there was always something off about him. I'll miss TP Ganondorf's voice too. I liked it a lot more than OoT Ganondorf's

Technically Bowser is Yoshi's villain but he is still in the game anyway and Sakurai said Bowser's final smash was like in Yoshi's island.

The Mewtwo in Smash is clearly based on the Mewtwo from the movie who is a villain, he sounds just like him. Also Mewtwo is like the final boss of Pokemon Red and Blue and Giovanni used Mewtwo in the latest Pokemon game.

Dedede is a villain in all Sakurai Kirby games which are the only ones he cares about and even through he's a friend now he's possessed often and he was straight up the final boss in Kirby Battle Royale without being possessed or anything.

They took my picture I posted here earlier today and replaced Bowser with Bowser Jr. It's funny, because I was told I should have used Bowser Jr. and now I'm seeing a bunch of people saying it doesn't make sense to use Bowser Jr. lol.

They might as well have just not put Yoshi on there because Bowser fits just as well as Yoshi's villain.

He's appeared twice in Yoshi's Island and his final Smash is even based on it now.

Ridley absolutely is the main antagonist of the Metroid games. Mother Brain was just the final Boss of Zero Mission and Super, while Ridley is always causing problems (even after his possible death.)

Mewtwo was the antagonist of the first Pokemon movie, which is what his appearance in Smash is based off of.

Mewtwo was the final boss of Red and Blue, the ultimate challenge. They did it for the Stadium games too iirc and now Pokken

I am a firm supporter of getting K. Rool in Smash, but I think it's pretty silly that image implies that DK is the only series without an antagonist or villain rep.

We don't have Porky or Giygas for Mother, or a Fire Emblem villain, none of the F-Zero villains, no Hades or Medusa, etc; etc;

Mewtwo was never evil. The only confirmed evil Pokemon I can remember is Meowth in the anime, and it's debatable whether his game counterpart in Yellow counts. Mind you, the teams of HeartGold/SoulSilver are more based upon Yellow then Red/Blue, so who knows if Yellow is meant to be partially canon or not. Then again, Red always has a Pikachu and at least 1 regular RBY Starter, so...

In the original 8 series DK is the only one without a villain which coincidentally is this games starting roster.
