Who wants to go sweden for this? February 18-19th

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=315623

I'm booking in a day or two, but I can book for anyone

Got a special ryanair mastercard now that avoids administration fees, it cost me £150 but it saves £15 each flight, and I planned to use it to help other people =) so ask away!

I'm going to sweden from wednesday - tuesday but around those days the flights are around £20-30 so its cheap as chips =D

might have to miss this :glare:. Boring I know, but even with you buying me the tickets, it will probably end up costing a fair bit.

I appreciate you offering to buy me cheaper tickets using the card you have though :)

New possible venue!

I have some really good news thanks to Gary

Gary found a venue in Leicester he's been using for meetups for gaming, and they're going to sort out the electricity soon (hopefully) for bigger things like running a small lan party.

It's in a "Rileys" , The pool + darts place. The space in the venue is awesome!

Basically we'd get one side of this long room which is plenty of space for a tournament, and we may even get to use the other side to play pool + darts (doubtufl for darts lol, screw that with young smashers) FOR FREE. There is also a huge LCD screen and a projector to use.

Wanna know what else is amazing about it? The venue may also be FREE. or maybe a small cost to cover electricity. However the only thing they want is for people to buy drinks/meals which is probably gonna happen anyway.

The venue is open from early moning till 4am.

I may look into this and think of an awesome 1/2/3 day event! Expecting a lot of people to travel to Leicester for it cause it'll be awesome!

This event in Leicester sounds amazing. I come from Nottingham, and there are about 10 of us smashers (reasonably good) that have been wanting to go to a decent UK tourney, and we would definitely come to this one because it is so close.

Sounds awesome though, really hope this goes ahead, I'd fully support this

Edit: + Zunari + Navi would defo go too

If you've been looking to come to a decent/amazing UK tournament then you should be coming to OoC in London which is next week.

Gonna be one of the best UK events with people from other countries coming.

Also this venue sounds really good :bee:, I know for sure I will be buying food there and everyone kwows how good a meal before smash is and how it x2 your gameplay lol.

Hopefully an event can get sorted out :), if it's a 3 day event it HAS to be an International Event?

I've been holding tourneys in Leicester for 3 years, and zunari and navi know that as well :S

Why don't you just have a fest up Notts and my crew can come up cuz its not that far and not very expensive. :)

Hey guys, I was posting from Foxof's account.

@ Prof Pro - Thanks, I’ve really been wanting to come to OoC, esp just to see AJP again, but I have to hand in my dissertation on the 18th, so its pretty much impossible. And again, the one you guys were planning for the 11th/12th February weekend time, I can’t come to that either because I have my Viva the week after :(

@ Willz – Yeah I’ve heard about you man haha. Me and my friends only got seriously into smash about two years ago…I hosted a massive tournament at my uni (which PMS came to and won LOL), and since then theres been a good few of us been playing regularly since. Then I discovered Zunari by accident about a year ago, and we’ve been playing with them ever since.

During term time its sometimes a bit tricky for all of us to travel down to London, but we would love to make the trip once, all of us to come down. Me and my friend (henry) did actually come to one of the London monthlies at the end of summer, not sure if you remember me prof, I was wearing a blue don’t-get-hit shirt.

Anyways, we hope to come down to a London one soon, probably the one after the beginning of Feb one…

And of course, if this one in Leicester works out, we will all be going to that and helping out too

Hey and yeah I remember you :)

Plus I know you were the person who did the interview with Armada lol

But yeah I remember you saying you wouldn't be able to come to OoC's which is REALLLLY annoying...I hope you and your friend can make the London Anime Con, if you're ever down in London just let one of the London Smashers know and hopefully we can get in some good games :)

I remember playing Prof. Pro when we trecked down to London. Needless to say i got utterly 4 stocked twice and went out in pools, but i DID beat the Prof at rock-paper-scissors for who got first stage strike :)

Question: How much do you think ntsc d throw helped ice in this match http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhi-uQjRqc0
I think it helped quite a bit, BUT not as much as it should do because Ice doesn't really seem to know that much about what to do on Marth from an NTSC dthrow and could have gotten more out of each grab. tbh I think it'd be a much more significant change if he did less stupid mistakes.

Do you think, then, that the outcome of that match would have been even worse in PAL? I thought a bit about this matchup after playing fuzz and really began to question how sheik tacks on enough damage by just waiting for marth to make a mistake
