First things first, this is not my tournament t0mmy is hosting it I'm just making the thread for him.

The tournament is most likely going to be held at:

Schedule of Events

Cost: $10/person

Itinerary
Friday the 25th
All day: Friendlies, early-bird tournaments, anything else we want to do.

Saturday
-10am: warmups
-11am: mysterious event of fun & importance or whatever it's called, haha
-NOON: SMASH THE STATE!!!!!!!! All setups will be reset, anyone currently in a game will be asked to quit-out (EVEN IF IT IS DURING A MONEY MATCH, NO JOHNS, MAKE SURE TO BE READY).
Events will be explained in full detail, all secrets revealed!!!
-Noon-ish: SMASH YOUR FRIEND! (Singles)
-4p: SMASH YOUR NEIGHBOR (Doubles)
-7p: SMASH THE CREW (Crews)
-10p: Winners Ceremony, Cash Prizes Awarded, Raffle Prizes given out, etc.
Afterwards: clean up & head back to places of housing for friendlies for as long as you want.

Sunday
-All day: Friendlies, breakfast in bed; go home.

The events for this tourney are going to unexpected, surprising, untraditional, and fun. This is going to be an alternative smash fest it's going to be focused on competition, cooperation, and fun.

Finding housing for out of town/state players shouldn't be a problem. I myself will be able to provide housing. If anyone needs housing, just ask, and if anyone can provide housing, feel free to contribute. Please bring a blanket/pillow, or at least a warm sweater.

I won't be able to add cooking to my list of tasks for this tournament, but it shouldn't be a problem for everyone to bring their own food or money for food.

Additional information
Just wanted to mention the events will try to be kept traditional tournament style, but I want an overall theme of Crews. Cooperation & competition is the key to winning extra prizes (games, shirts, swag).

Umm...it says the 29th, a Tuesday, but the schedule mentions Sat/Sun events. Do you mean the 26th? If so, it's possible Sac will pay OR a visit.

I think Foos was copying a lot of stuff from SF:E - which was on the 29th (of Dec). So that probably got overlooked and should really be the 26th (of Jan).

Okay. I assumed that and put in for the days off. I'm probably coming, not sure if Nova or TS will. I'll talk to them and see about rides and such.

I don't know if we'll need housing yet. Civil 9 may be able to house us Saturday night, but it's a bit out of the way (Bend) and not guaranteed.

Is there going to be a good heater at the venue? If not prepare for cold hand johns.


How come t0mmy didn't just post this? A lot of people outside OR know you and t0mmy better than anyone else in the state.

I'm keeping it vague because I'm not spoiling any surprises. The events are pretty much "Singles", "Doubles", and "Crews" but there's an overall theme involved I won't mention, but I will say it will create a sense of comradery and feuding X^)

Well I just found out that my friend is having a B-day party on the friday before this event. So I'm most likely not going to make it. Sorry guys but I'll see you at the finger bang the weekend before this event.

Also if you are coming to this event for sure please post somewhere in this thread saying that you are confirmed so that I can mark it down that way I can give an accurate head count. Kthnxbye.

Don't worry about the events, they're mostly different by name only, it's boring to just have events listed as "singles & doubles"
The differing functionality will be subtle, but adds to a more cooperative aspect in an overall theme. Essentially, when you win any match you will additionally be winning for a team. Think of it as one big Crews tournament.

You do not want to get caught in the montains in the winter without snowchains. I have no idea what the weather will be like in a month, but after all the CA > OR trips I've made, I know it's a good idea to be prepared.

Get a converter for the cig lighter to make it an electrical outlet, plug a wii /w mini monitor & play Smash until the spring rains thaw the car free or until the grizzlies get your chip supply.

Delphiki, it's really strange that you choose to go to this tournament rather than The Finger Bang in Portland the weekend before, which has already been pretty much guaranteed to have a higher turnout than this likely will (seeing as how it's in Portland xD!).

I guess I should mention that out-of-staters have priority housing at my apartment, and then out-of-towners. Who all would think they'd need housing for this? I want to make sure to help everyone out ahead of time.
