No Russ? I'm glad I got to hang out with him a little bit at the FB at least. I would have loved to have seen him again.
BTW, I want to thank everyone for putting forth the effort to come to this tournament what with all the oddities that cropped up.

Just a quick post before we take Delphiki to the bus station so he can make it to another tournament in CA tomorrow.
I'd like to thank EVERYONE who showed up and made an effort to attend. There's not many melee events until Brawl comes out.
Special, special thanks to Delphiki for coming from CA and the Ohio gang (not all of you were from Ohio, we know, but it's easier to say that). I didn't get a chance to give you the $20 to compensate for travel costs, you guys left too quickly, everyone kept asking where you were. Well, you're efficient at getting things ready and leaving. I really hope to see all of you at more events, and hope you had a fun time. The Omlette almost took me & Delphiki out in doubles, but I think the other team should have won because their name is too good... just too difficult to remember the full name, haha.
This was my first and probably last tournament I'm hosting. I didn't realize just how much it took running the majority of it, and I can see why t1mmy doesn't like doing everything himself because it hurts my gameplay. Big thanks to everyone who helped out in any way possible, even keeping the place clean.
Boo to people who did things like crush cans on the floor and disregard the venue. It's a nice place, I don't want it to be unavailble, but overall it was kept fairly clean.

I really enjoyed this tournament since t0mmy was doing most of the TO responsibilities and I got a chance to play more friendlies for once. I want to thank Climax for bringing N-Oregon down, Wikipedia for making it from Salem, and all the Eugenites who showed up. Peach is too good, and I'm done maining her.

Cmin - Good seeing you again. Everyone was really happy that you came and I hope you had fun playing smash again.
The attendance was more like 20 people, but some had scheduling conflicts, Milk only entered doubles, Duki and Cmin only entered singles.
Attendance doesn't reflect on fun. I just wish we had a reliable attendance so Crews could have worked out. I thought postponing for people to be able to make singles and just allowing lots of friendlies was so much better than me trying to get things together for crews when I was so exhausted X^\
Brackets are on t1mmy's computer, so I'll have him put it up on TIA soon.

Additional shoutouts, comments, words of wisdom, and thanks...because I can.
Tudios, Kefka, and Shin: performed well in singles, GG! I really enjoyed watching a lot of these matches, even though I didn't have much time with all the hosting chores.
Duki, BC, Jank, Ronin, Climax--I see your game developing really quickly, if we're still playing Melee by the end of this year you could make it to finals.
Shin: don't get so down about playing against certain characters. Practice those matchups or get a suitable counterpick character you feel comfortable with.
Dukipedia: don't just run in and forward-smash people's shields. You're getting your tech down, now get the smart-games down.
Climax: Same advice as Duki, watch those Smashes, I saw you could have won a few rounds if you just held off on relying on that.
Tudios: remember to breathe & stay calm, but GGs!
BC: I hope to see you in finals at The Jiggs! I think you can make it there too, put more time into friendlies and keep up your tech practice.

My funds are kind of spent from hosting Smash the State, but that'll be some time to save up. Can you get surrounding states to attend? Maybe midwest players and Nevada?

Technically I picked it because I heard you wanted to go Random. So I clicked the Random button and that's what you got. Or we could blame nealdt because he's the one who programmed Tio's random team names.
PS: the first random team name was actually "The Sailors" and I thought that it was soooooo bad it deserved at least one re-do.
Oregon needs a good tourney in february, and I think it's a good show of friendship for the community if we made a jaunt over to see you guys for once considering Idaho has come to Oregon a number of occassions.
Oregon shouldn't be Smash snobs like certain other states ;^D
Try to get other states to attend and we'll make plans.
