ok this might sound stupid, but i've been browsing these forums and i've run into so many terms and different smash lingo and i just have absolutely NO idea what any of it means (new to smash)....is there any like wikismashthing that would be like a beginners guide to the lingo?? lol i know this is a random and somewhat weird question but seriously..what the hell are you guys saying?? :confused::laugh:

just off the top of my head here are a couple i've run into...

b-sticking
QAC
u-smash
b-air


those are some that i can remember that i could take a guess as to what they mean but being pretty new to the game i dont want to learn the wrong things

There's a thread in the Melee boards that covers most of smash lingo, but b-sticking and QAC are Brawl only. B-sticking is mapping the special moves to the C-stick which allow you to do specials with the C-stick while DIing with the control stick. I have no idea what QAC though.

you just answered your own question. click on the star that says wiki on the top of the page. it's really useful and covers most of the terms used.

That's what they mean. Remember u=up d=down b=backward f=forward

Because some guy online was denying me on the burst limit forums at gamefaqs...saying that it's a term some guy made to see if people like me would spread it....he said it doesn't mean excuses.

I used to be one of the best smashers (ssb not melee) in Toronto till I left smash because of nostalgic reasons...I came back here just to prove a point...thanks a bunch...if anyone can, can someone describe the history? I remember it coming from a guy named John who made excuses etc and then people like called it that...or something.
