Well good for you. But I can rarely do that, so nowdays I prefer to let the hype get a Little higher than it should. Makes the wait better. And even if it's not as big as I imagened, I will still be completely satesfied with 1 Newcomer and some gameplay footage. So I can't lose.

Seriously, I've never been so excited for a Nintendo Direct. Not even the E3 direct got me this pumped, and now I'm hearing that the direct could potentially be 30 minutes long.

My body can't take all this hype energy!

They'll still need to have some things saved for after the Direct. Remember, the game is likely at least still half a year and a E3 away, so they still need to have saved a lot of content for after the Direct.

That's still not an actual release date. A release window could simply be something like Fall 2014, or October 2014.

Let's try to kill our hype down, so it'll be less likely the Direct will disappoint us. I'll go first.

• Online mode won't be shown
• Adventure Mode won't be shown
• No new stages will be shown
• Character Select Screen won't be shown
• Game menu won't be shown
• No changes/improvements made to the veterans since last footage
• Their voice clips are still the same (Mario still has his horrible Brawl voice)
• Most of the Direct will be spent on showing new items
• No new gameplay mechanics will be shown
• No release date will be revealed (Already confirmed T_T)

While I think people are justified in hoping for things like new modes and 2 newcomers, I don't see the point in looking at today's daily pic as a hint.

I just interpreted it as a cute picture to symbolise that the equipment for the direct is being set up.

Anyway I don't believe in a Summer Release now for the very reason that we don't get the release but a 'window'.
There is no point in getting a window when we know the game is coming out soon (if there was Summer Release).
Since it is a window I think we will be getting the game at around October-December.
The worst case scenario is that the game gets delayed to 2015...
I can imagine Iwata uttering the words...
