Oh dear...! A new Ice Climbers, there's so many ways to make it AWESOME! I could picture it as some sort of tag-team platformer/explorer with Assasin's Creed-styled climbing mechanics, just much more fluid and fast, to follow the cartoony nature of the characters. I'd give it both towns and mountains as levels, maybe flesh out the world around Icicle Mountain or just add things to it, like little villages and explorable caves. They could execute some really interesting puzzles or combat mechanics with the dual-character concept! Sort of like a Skyrim-meets-Mario game!

And Murasame Castle...I'd leave that on Kamiya's hands, considering Metal Gear Rising...something like fighting legions of Japanese Yokai with RPG elements, levelling up your sword and your techniques...why doesn't Nintendo take ideas from fans? :c
Well.... while there would be some benefit to taking ideas from fans... most fans do not have good example. Consider Miiverse Exhibit A.

Er, sorry for going offtopic... Say! Now that Lucario's confirmed (and Wario's practically guaranteed), maybe we'll see the return of this musical masterpiece!

People who post ideas on Miiverse can't be serious, Miiverse if a fun little social community to share tips, hints and comments about games.

Also, might I share the best final boss battle theme...ever?

Out of curiosity, will the newly revealed Kid Icarus stage on Wii U wait until more screens come out?

Not to be impatient, but is there a rough estimate of when the results will be posted?

Perhaps Big Arms should be a boss in Adventure Mode? We already have big hands in Classic Mode.

Sonic's stage should've been Planet Wisp so it could have had a nice balance of "cheery" and "industrial" music.
Yeh, I was hoping for an earlier stage too. But Nintendo and SEGA are in a current contract together to help promote Sonic's modern games, hence why Windy Hill was probably chosen. (Too bad not many people thought the game was good.)
All we can hope for is another stage on 3DS ( from a good Sonic game.)

Well, there was a leak from a while ago that said the 3DS Sonic stage was Emerald Hill. I'm hoping it's Emerald Coast! It would represent Sonic Generations 3DS, and there's tons of great music that can go with Emerald Coast.

Actually, Sonic Lost World IS a good game. The reason the reviewers scored the game low was because they didn't know how to play the game properly and they are anti-Nintendo. Legitimate reviews actually gave it 7-8, if I recall.
Also, Scrap Brain Zone is industrial, but was still on Green Hill Zone, so you never know...

The Genesis songs in Brawl had a cryptic message, too. Scrap Brain, Emerald Hill, Green Hill, Angel Island...

Man I loved Lost World but you can't deny that the game was pretty poorly made.

I got chills listening to Gusty Garden from 3D World. It's hard to believe a game from 2007 has already become nostalgic. :urg:

The last thing I wanted to do is start a flame war againist Sonic Lost World, the game is great, not as good as Generations, but it's still great. Why was it poorly made? The only remotely bad design choice were the Wisps, and they were far and in-between :I

Yeah, but I think I've made it clear on this thread that I'D RATHER HAVE MY SONGS FIT BECAUSE THEY FIT THAN FITTING BECAUSE THEY'RE OF THE SAME FRANCHISE. But it's true, most negative Sonic Lost World reviews are people complaining about the difficulty spike towards the end (Right, because Sonic 2 didn't have a massive one towards the end) or they're just Nintendo-hating schmucks.

Although I would lose my **** if we got Planet Wisp for both Wii U and 3DS, I think Sonic and Megaman are big enough to get two stages...

Actually, I can. If it really was badly made, it wouldn't have Nintendo-based DLC. I haven't played it myself, but that alone tells me that it can't possibly be a bad game.
Besides, if Sakurai didn't think it would make a good stage, it wouldn't be in the game.

You just had to bring it up.

You just had to...

After everything that went on.... After I thought we agreed to disagree and live on in peace, you're back with this passive aggressive bull****.

D-idara, one more time and I will ban you next round.

Hear me?

I'm serious here.

On of the topic of Lost World, my only real problem was it was inconsistent with its levels. Some levels were fun, others were boring. Some were also unfairly difficult at times.

But, of course, the music was top notch. I can't wait until the Windy Hill round. :smirk:

Oh come on, you can't tell me that you possibly think Scrap Brain fits on Green Hill, I think everyone can agree on the fact that we should get an industrial Sonic stage so that all the amazing, darker music from the series can be in a place where it fits :/ What's so passive-agressive about wanting a well-deserved Planet Wisp or Chemical Plant?

And most importantly, most of Lost World's levels were pretty memorable, especially Silent Forest, that level's atmosphere is amazing.

Easily the best two songs from Lost World. Sky Road is just amazing.

I didn't find Sonic Lost World to be terrible, but I had more of a blast with Generations. I didn't like how Wisps had no plot importance in this game and the end game is just… difficult. Lava Mountain Act 2 is by far one of the hardest stages in Sonic history. I also don't like how the levels weren't that consistent and I hate every single 2D section. I will never bother to get 100% in this game…

By the way, is World Mushroom ~ Flower loosely based on Purple Comet from Galaxy?
I say so. If not, it's reminiscent of Purple Comet from Galaxy. However, it's definitely not a remix of Purple Comet.

If we're talking about Sky Road, Dragon Dance rocks so much more than Act 1! But seriously, almost all songs from Sonic Lost World are golden, just as each and every one of Colors' levels was Generations material. And I also actually like how Sonic Lost World became really hard towards the end, especially Lava Mountain Act 3.

On another note, I actually like Star/Flower World a little more than Purple Coins.

Scrap Brain Zone is on Green Hill Zone because Scrap Brain Zone is a song from the Sonic series and Green Hill Zone is a stage from the Sonic series. Get it?

In Smash, the only songs that didn't belong to the stage's series are the songs from series with no stages, hence why the Fire Emblem song was on the Temple stage in Melee, why the Balloon Fight theme is on the Ice Climbers' stages both in Melee and Brawl, why the Tetris songs are on Luigi's Mansion in Brawl and so on. This contest, as well as many people, me, Swamp, the other contestants and Sakurai included, agrees that songs from a certain franchise go on a stage from the same franchise, unless there's no stage from that franchise in the first place.

Songs from a certain universe and stages from the same universe go side-by-side. You may not agree with that, but the rules of this contest dictate so anyway. So, you have two options:
1. Abide by the rules and participate on the contest.
2. Disagree with the rules and stop participating on the contest.

It is simple. You don't agree with the rules, you don't participate in the contest. By participating in the contest, we judges assume the contestants are abiding by the rules. That's how things work not only on this contest, but on many things in real life as well. Sometimes, we have to be subjected to certain rules, like them or not. That's how life is.

That's the last time I'm telling you this and I hope I made myself very clear on this and I hope you start to watch your behavior around here as it's getting old real fast.

I'm not talking about placing Scrap Brain on a stage from another franchise, even though there's nothing wrong with that, I'm talking about placing Scrap Brain and other industrial songs on one of the many memorable industrial locations from the Sonic series instead of placing the theme of a metallic fortress on a happy grassland stage. I'd prefer to not have it in the game at all.

So, I listened to SM3DW's soundtrack. It's eargasmic.

Champion's Road has become my favorite version of Gusty Garden, and World Bowser's map theme is now among my favorite video game themes of all time (strange, the villain themes usually resonate with me).

Yes, I re-stated my opinion, what's so wrong about that? I said that I prefer when the songs fit the actual theme of the stage, can't that be my opinion? I was using it to make a point because Sakurai should give us an industrial Sonic stage, and the music fitting the theme is one of the reasons.

Bolding it isn't necessary.

Especially after the spat we had.

It's passive aggressiveness. And I don't take kindly to it.

Hey Swampasaur I'm inexperience with this thread, how long does it take for entries to be graded?
