[collapse= You're the man now, Nintendog!]
1. Name: Bath Time
Universe: Nintendogs
Game of Origin: Nintendogs (DS, 2005)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhz_jWjkzzo
Reason: Tis confirmed!
2. Name: Credits
Universe: Nintendogs
Game of Origin: Nintendogs + Cats (3DS, 2011)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN590DmoDJw
Reason: Well, it seems that Nintendogs + Cats music is hard to come by. But needless to say, I enjoyed this track and I think it gives off a distinct feel and I would like to see it in the final game. It's soothing yet upbeat.
3. Name: PictoChat
Universe: Nintendo DS
Game of Origin: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qlm7c1GwA8Q
Reason: To me, this stage is a spiritual successor to PictoChat from Brawl. After all, Nintendogs could represent the Nintendo DS universe very well (if it doesn't represent its own, but we'll see). In any case, I think this track seems very fitting.
4. Name: Walking the Dog
Universe: Nintendogs
Game of Origin: Nintendogs (DS, 2005)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2odP8HQuPgs
Reason: It sounds like it's a very popular and iconic song. Plus it seems to fit.
5. Shaberu! DS Cooking Navi
Universe: Nintendo DS
Game of Origin: Personal Trainer: Cooking (DS, 2008)/ Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4_3fI8iNP4
Reason: I was hoping that THIS could be my oddball choice, but it's too popular with people here. In fairness, it is an extremely fitting track.
6. Name: Nintendogs (and Cats)!
Universe: Nintendogs
This is a medley of two tracks:
Name: Main Theme
Game of Origin: Nintendogs (DS, 2005)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5b-3-J8V3I
Name: Title
Game of Origin: Nintendogs + Cats (3DS, 2011)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Act76fJEiRw
Reason: The main theme is an important track for sure, but as many pointed out, the Bath Theme is very similar. So I thought that maybe around the 50 second track, it could transition into the sequel's title, which provides a more jazzy upbeat to spice things up. Then after it plays through, things slow back down for the Main Theme. Perhaps the segment could be marked by a cat joining the Nintendog in the background?
7. Name: Nintendo DSi Shop
Universe: Nintendo DSi
Hardware of Origin: Nintendo DSi (2009)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krISRDj6_2w
Reason: Well, remember how I thought of this as the PictoChat successor? Well, one of the themes PictoChat had was the Wii Shop Channel, but that wouldn't be necessarily fitting for a 3DS stage. So, I decided to go and rep the underdog brother of the DS and 3DS. No, not the 2DS! The DSi, of course! It also helps that it's pretty catchy and that it paved the way for the eShop of today. So pay tribute to this new age classic!
8. Name: Lip's Theme (Panel de Pon)
Universe: Puzzle League
Game of Origin: Panel de Pon (Super Famicom, 1995)/Tetris Attack (SNES, 1996)/Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cx-YoZotlOU
Reason: This one was a toughie. I risk having too many Brawl tracks on my list. On the other hand, nothing else I could think (particularly from Nintendogs) had an intense sound to contrast the others and this is a track I feel meets that requirement. Also, no one else has put this one on their lists yet, so I get unique points. It's a risk I'll have to take.
Honorable Mention!
Name: Dinosaur Office Remix
Universe: Dinosaur Office
Game of Origin: Nintendo Video (3DS, 2011)
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wB1VBroMJRQ
Reason: Unfortunately, despite it being an awesome song and a terrific Nintendo Video rep, I'm pretty sure Dinosaur Office is not a Nintendo franchise and thus, would not work.

There you have it. A frightening look at what my mind has conjured up this round.
Also, puppies!
Oh, and did I mention that I have an ACTUAL puppy? Here's him in his Halloween costume.
Looks like I'm in the lead.
