From what I can tell, the Dogfight results music isn't a remix from Pilotwings. Doesn't seem to be too popular either. The Wii U shop theme doesn't fit very well. Way too slow.

You linked me to the Title theme. So... I'm just gonna judge the title theme which works pretty well. Not much melody though. Handgliding huh? Hey! The composer of Pilotwings 64 is in the comments. Cool! Regardless, it's a pretty uplifting theme. Seems REALLY popular. Pilotwings Resort Main Theme is always nice! As is the Wii Sports Resort music! About your medley... I don't feel that it fits. I think those peices (barring the last one) would work a million times better on other stages. Sorry. That's my honest opinion. Cool songs though.

Notes: You were really excited for this stage! Let's see how you did! Your opening medley is wonderful! The songs mesh together really well and both seem important and popular. Hang Glider is pretty slow, but it's just fast enough that I can envision Sakurai using it. It also seems pretty popular and important. Super Rocket Belt is so DAMN JAZZY! I love it. Wii Sports Resort Theme might as well be confirmed so great choice. The Main Menu theme from Wii Party is a great choice. So.....good.... HOLY HELL! I never knew the Photo Channel had music that upbeat! Works pretty well. Though I'm concerned it may not fit with the Pilotwings theme of the stage. WAVE RACE!!! My gosh man! You're a genius! Wave Race music fits with Pilotwings perfectly. Both with the timing of the stage and the source material! I think your stroke of genius influenced others to include it on their lists as well. Amazing pick sir. The Endless Ocean theme works well too. Almost a tad too peaceful though. Startropics was a real surprise though. If there's one series I didn't expect here, it's Star Tropics. Notes: The Wii Sports Resort theme is great! As is Jungle Hopper and the Main Theme for Pilotwings Resort. The medley is nicely done! All of the themes mesh together nicely. Wii Party is fun! Sonic Unleashed music? Um... I don't think that will work very well on a Pilotwings stage. Windy Hill Zone maybe? Sunset Bay works well as always! I don't think the surf medley fits Pilotwings very well. It would work much better on a Pokemon stage. Notes: Light Plane, Rocketbelt, Birdman! You started off with a bang. The Wii Sports theme was used already but it's still a nice track. Gyrocopter is a great piece! Plane Theme is one we haven't seen before. It's a really nice one. Fits well, though it may need to be remixed but I see real potential with that piece. The Mario Kart track works pretty well. Notes: Quite the opening Medley. All of them fit rather nicely. Wuhu Loop is a good pick. Same with the Wii Sports theme. Notes: Remember our one medley rule AEM? Like Star you should know this by now. That will be one point deducted. Sorry, but rules are rules. Still your first medley has a lot of songs. Almost too much. Still the themes work together well and there is obviously some thought behind your choices. Helicopter sounds kinda like the Airship theme from Mario 3. Still good pick. Birdman and Super Rocket Belt are good choices as well. The Main Theme from Wii Sports Resort is another great pick. Almost necessary to be honest. The Wii Party theme works well too. Face Raider music has always been pretty weird. But in a good way. If it's gonna work for Pilotwings, it's gonna need to have some different instruments. And HOLY HELL THAT WAVE RACE SONG IS AMAZING!

After listening to all songs, I can see a reason why Pilotwings's soundtrack is praised. It's got good music and your choices fit the stage nicely.
Your medley would work pretty great, opening with the Opening song from the SNES game, then looping between the other two themes. It's something that would sound nice in just one arrangement.
The eShop theme isn't bad: I feel it's a little calm for Smash, but fits the atmosphere of the stage well. Dogfight Results is unifitting and I think you could have chosen another song from Wii Sports Resort.
As a matter of fact, the Light Plane theme plays when playing as the same red plane that appears on the Smash stage, meaning it's the best fitting song for this stage. Though you chose the Mario Kart version, the Wii Sports Resort theme is an important song for this stage too, considering it also features Wuhu Island.

First of all, why would having the Wii Sports Resort theme would be bad for your score? On the contrary! This stage features Wuhu Island, which debuted in Wii Sports Resort, so it's a good fit for the stage. Perhaps it could be remixed, but the original song works as well.
The other songs overall fit well. I think you should have included the Light Plane theme, as it is one of the most iconic themes of the first game.
You got variety by choosing songs from all three games of the series, including the main theme from Pilotwings Resort.
The Nintendo Cruising Medley is an interesting choice, but you could have done well without it too.

I really noticed the similarities to the Airship theme from SMB3 too and the song itself isn't a bad choice at all.
The Face Raiders song is an odd, but fitting choice, being a fast paced song and I think it could go well on a 3DS stage too. Ironically, I never played Face Raiders, despite having a 3DS for over 2 years! 
The Wave Race song you picked fits the stage surprisingly well and it's a good song too!
I think you could have used another song from Pilotwings 64, but every Smash has had its share of peaceful music.
