Well, there are very rarely philosophical discussions/debates about the inner workings of Melee/Brawl/Competitive gaming at tournaments so I don't get to show off my awesome forum debate powers very often at tournaments.

But I compensate by being very wacky, energetic and groping lots of guys. And once in a while, I bag myself a heterosexual Smasher boyfriend.

Just one question: Why is Luigi allowed in Low Tiers?

He isn't confirmed. And it's very unlikely for him to come, since hes in the army atm and he either doesn't have the time/money to come or he isn't really good anymore since he doesn't play except on weekends / smashfests. I hope he could come and still be as awesome a player as he is now...then I'd have an amazing team partner

lol it's true that he's the best in Austria and it's also very likely that he's top3 in Austria+Germany. I don't think he ever said "most probably one of the very best in all of Europe!". At least not the way you "quoted" him - even so it's possible that he's ~top5 in the EU? Idk but I have played Gaki who's considered the best player in the EU and I don't think Luigi_Player is much worse. Gaki is probably better but I think Luigi_Player could beat him a couple of times. There is a great french Peach player (Leon) who might be up there too and probably some british player. Not sure about Izaw...

..either way, I wish he could come to show how good he is, just in case you doubt it.

yes there is a kitchen (watch the video, last post on page 10) but unfortunately the owners wont provide potties, dishes or cutlery since they made bad experience with stealing and destroying. i'll have to bring some.


YEAH Aniolas & Armada. i was told before you are interested but at that time i did not take 3rd party interested announcements. good to hear from you =D


Concerning the stages:
Well, as i was planing the tournament i of course wanted to use the (german) standard ruleset for smack (which is based on the SBR recommended ruleset) at first but i became aware its just not adequate due to events in the past.
For example Pamaros stupid rule: we have a player (pamaro) who took about 20 minutes to choose his counterpick at smash royale, the french were bragging about it and we figured we need a rule to settle. we have this rule now but not integrated this into the standard ruleset. Same for "colorblind people may choose (team)color"-rule.

so, if i wont go for the standard ruleset anyway why not apply things that always bugged me or maybe even go for some new stuff?

realising this, i literally went nuts and created the most f*cked up ruleset you could imagine choosing a lot of stages in my own favour.
i will not tell you all the freaky stuff i did but i changed a lot of the rules back and this is the moderate version of a f*cked up ruleset now.

I had my flameshield prepared, trying to convince people this might be FUN, be interesting to watch a serious, high level gameplay on stages like shroomy kingdom and saying i wont change the rules anymore many, many times....
but since there are sooo many people attending (probably/hopefully) and money will be on the line there is no way i can not take your concerns into account.

so yeah, i might give in *sigh*

except for green greens and skyworld! excluding this stages is not up for debate.

Azen got 2nd at Cataclysm 4 using 80% Peach. He never won any game with any other character except Dedede.

Ally, Boss, Holynightmare, Black Waltz, Inui, Atomsk, D1, Omegablackmage and D1 must have done something horribly wrong!

If you think you can host tournaments to make profit your in the wrong community.
noone makes profit and most of the tournaments still have normal rulesets ...
