But for sure keep DK, Diddy, Dixie, Kiddy (on the off-chance we get Dixie and Kiddie ala DKC3), K. Rool, and Cranky.

I know you are working on the DK chart right now but I wanne suggest something about the FE chart. I would like for you to consider to put Tiki on there. I know she isn't a lord but she does have advantadges over many other non-lords. She has been playable in 5 games and played a major role in 4 of them and a decently important role in the other one, has a decent amount of popularity, and has the ability to have a more unique moveset compared to other characters. I feel for a non-lord character she is on the level of Anna.

Just updating what needs to be updated right now:
Super Mario Brothers

- Changed layout of characters in reponse to character vote
- Added Giga Bowser due to playable appearance in previous game
- Confirmed Luigi (Again, but it wasn't added to the first post for some reason)

Pokemon

- Added Mega Lucario to potential playable characters
- Renamed Mewtwo to Mega Mewtwo

Eventually yes, but right now we're pretty close to moving onto the Legend of Zelda.
We will get there eventually though.

Some I already planned on removing, yes.

I'm also planning on having the Trainer split into four slots; the Trainer himself, Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur.
This is because we currently don't know what's going to happen with the Trainer after what Sakurai said about the 3DS.

There was one (technically two) addition I was also considering, but that will be for when we get to Pokémon. (For the sake of keeping speculation out, it's Blaziken as well as the MegaBlaziken mode.)

I think we've reached some kind of consensus on the Donkey Kong series so do we move on to Zelda now?

If so I'd say remove Groose, Midna, Vaati and Skull Kid. And find a way so consolidate all the Links.

Yea that's true. As far as i'm concerned,I think you've got those series pretty set as far as possible candidates. But if there are others that people want added, then it's worth a shot.

I guess it's safe to say it's almost unanimous on who should be cut.
So for next Zelda chart:
-Groose, Midna, Vaati, Skull Kid, and Demise will get cut.
-Young Link will have the masks removed.
-"New 2nd Link" will have artwork changed and be renamed to "Worlds Link".
-Whatever aesthetic changes AEM finds necessary.

Moving on to Metroid now.

For Metroid, I think that the multiple versions of Ridley should be removed, or just condensed into one "Ridley," as well as all non-Sylux Hunters to be removed, and MB.

Just my opinion, but I don't know a whole lot about Metroid (just enough to support Ridley ), so take that with a grain of salt, I guess.

My issue with "non-Sylux" Hunters is what makes Sylux so special as to why he should stay in comparison to everyone else?

He wasn't any more important than the others in Prime Hunters and the whole "he's in Prime 3's ending" is not confirmed.
I would say that if he stays, at least Weavel stays too, since like Sylux, he has backstory to Samus whereas the other Hunters were not all that relevant to Samus in general.

I have to agree. The other hunters have had their day and the Cast of Other M don't have a lot of combat potential without stretching the imagination. Dark Samus was an arc Villain so she/it has that going for her/it.

The only reason I think DS still has any sort of shot whatsoever is last-minute semi-clone potential. I don't think it's going to happen, but I also don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.

Ah, never knew that the "Prime 3 Ending" wasn't confirmed. Never played it, sadly. In that case, yeah, Sylux should get booted, as well.

To be serious, I'm not sure. I just thought Diddy's thread for him was pretty compelling *shrugs*. Like I said, I don't know too much about Metroid as a whole, sadly.

I'm not sure myself actually. That's why I said "I guess". I suppose Diddy Kong's thread kinda convinced me that he'd be a pretty cool guy to have in Smash.

Even though I never played Other M, from some of the stuff I've seen about him he seems like a pretty cool guy.

I probably need to look up more info on Anthony, Adam and MB though I guess. :/

Adam should stay in all honesty. Next to Ridley he seems to have the 2nd most games tied with Dark Samus. If you are gonna get rid of Adam might as well get rid of Dark Samus on the chart to and it goes the same as well if you are going to keep Anthony you have to keep Adam and Dark Samus because both have a better chance then Anthony of getting in Smash. Basically I would say to get rid of anyone that isn't Samus, ZSS, Ridely, Adam, and Dark Samus.

My next question,

Much like Sylux and Weavel, Anthony has a history with Samus (and a positive one at that). Metroid always has been that franchise that seemed like it never had a logical second character next to Samus (these days, everybody advocates for Ridley because he does make sense in terms of importance).

But let's say he couldn't make Ridley fit or decided that Ridley should remain a boss. He should be aware that a large variety of fans are desiring the Metroid franchise to grow. So who are his options?

Dark Samus; The main antagonist from the more popular games in the early years of the Wii's lifespan (Follows the trend of having more Samus' being playable).
Anthony; a colleague of Samus's from Other M, the game the Metroid franchise and Samus are more based off of (Who is not Samus in any way, shape, or form. Which could be what Sakurai thinks we want if not Ridley).

Both do make sense in their own respects, not more than Ridley, but if the situation ends up not having Ridley be in the game, those two are the next best options.

Adam is dead, so in canon, it wouldn't make much sense (But then again, canon doesn't matter in Smash. So I guess keep him too then).
There is no real interest in adding MB other than the fact that she is MB in human form. Any support for her seems literally non-existant.
