So has Viridi officially been disconfirmed? I'm not doubting you guys, but i'm just legitimately wondering if there's anything besides Sakurai's post and the picture of the stage.

I'm just doing what you guys are tell me S:

Does Viridi actually appear on the stage?

We literally have only seen one image of the stage at this point in time, and the caption mentions that she is about to kill all of the warring humans.

Given that Sakurai is hinting that she will appear, it's safe to assume she is.

So, the only suggestion I got for Mario is to remove Lugwig, and only one stated support of that.

I'd remove Fawful and Dry Bowser as well but... Ludwig is the biggest oddball on there.

In my opinion, I think Daisy, Rosalina, Nabbit, Birdo, AND Ludwig could be removed.

The others do merit some chance in their own regard, but the others don't really stand up to the ones not mentioned above (to me, anyways).

Honestly, I feel E Gadd and Rosalina could be kept, if only due to their importance to the Luigi's Mansion games and Galaxy games, respectively.

I support Dry Bowser personally, he has some good potential as a double character with Bowser, and he wouldn't be too difficult to Luigi-fy.

Plus, it would feel awesome fighting as an undead Bowser.

I'd keep Rosalina and Fawful but that's just me and my bias. Most of the Mario characters are pretty unlikely anyway.

Well, with Rosalina and E. Gadd anyway, while I don't expect them in the slightest, I feel that they're pretty important to the Galaxy series and the Luigi's Mansion series, respectively, to at least warrant a spot on the Speculation Chart. Fawful, not so much.

I would agree if Rosalina wasn't limited to a mere cameo in Galaxy 2 and E. Gadd had more of an active role in the Mansion games.
I mean, if Luigi uses the Poltergust in Smash, why would we need E. Gadd?

That's true on the Rosalina bit.

Perhaps we can leave E. Gadd on for now, but if Luigi is revealed to use the Poltergust, take him off? Just a thought.

A thought occurs. What if we have a way of marking a character as an assist trophy so all those borderline characters don't seem so superfluous?

Actually, E. Gadd seems to be popping up in more than just the Luigi's Mansion series. Someone forget the Mario & Luigi RPG on the GBA? He's also the inventor of the F.L.U.D.D. and Bowser Jr.'s magical paintbrush. There's a few other things he's had his grubby hands on too if I recall so really. He's had more impact than you might think as a support character. He's got a plethora of inventions at his beck and call if anything. THat said, he's not really the type to be in this. I just felt the need to add in more information about our favorite kooky scientist. I would castl my against Fawful. He's pretty much done as a character.

He has appeared in two M&L games, along with the Luigi's Mansion ones.

Really? Why are we talking about removal so early? I liked that the list was fairly comprehensive. Okay, Ludwig is fairly out there, but for the other characters there is potential.

Personally I'd like to see Birdo and King Boo stay on the list.

I see AEM already put Ludwig on the backburner, but what I don't understand is why he made him "disconfirmed" rather than just removed from the chart.

Anyways, I have come to a decision for Mario;
The removals will be:
-Ludwig
-Nabbit
-Dry Bowser
-Daisy
-Birdo
-E. Gadd
-Rosalina
-Fawful

Should any of these characters somehow make it as playable characters, they will be added back to the chart with a special symbol to designate that they were a surprise.
Furthermore, there will not be a separate section for unexpected characters; they will be added to the chart they belong in, but be given a symbol to designate that they were a surprise next to their checkmark (symbol up to AEM).


Next is Donkey Kong.
