Well Sumo Digital did hint at some sort of Mario/Sonic or Nintendo/Sega crossover a while back, and they're the ones behind the Sonic racing games...

Nintendo/Sega crossover would still be Smash/Sonic crossover... it appears that not many people care about other Sega franchises... many people only care about Sonic. No wonder it is called Sonic & Sega All-Stars, never just Sega All-Stars.

Honestly, I find it disappointing.
There's more great Sega games than just Sonic.

It's all about sales, and unfortunately Sonic and his dumb friends bring in a helluva lot more than Sega's other IPs (which is why I was surprised he wasn't forced into Project X Zone), but if I ever pick up S&ASRT (dunno if I got that right), it's going to be because of NiGHTS and Vyse.

Project X Zone's roster appealed more to the Japanese players and old-school gamers who played Sega's arcade games. Actually, considering the game was meant to be Japan only, it's only natural the roster would pander to the fanbase there.

Sonic is nowhere near as popular in Japan as it is in the West.

Well they are all just a group of actors...
Still doesn't explain why he's still evil after SMB3.
Or how coins help you breathe underwater.

Though, I'm still trying to figure out how wearing blue helps you take hits better.

Yeah, but Sonic is still more popular in Japan than some of the other characters selected, and he would move at least some units, not to mention he is still Sega's mascot, so even if they never had the game planned for international release I found his total omission surprising, though not necessarily a bad thing.

I got SEGA racing to play as Reala but I never unlocked Reala

Until then, I played as Metal Sonic

Well, you have a good point.

Still, Bandai Namco didn't have Pac-Man either. Capcom undoubtedly had the most recognizable roster out of the three companies.

Continuing the MK requests: I personally would like to see Fawful, you know?, that main villian of M&L, Nintendo, is it that much to ask for?

I think it's because Sonic's the big star of the show that it's called Sonic and SEGA all stars, I honestly think that Sonic is the only SEGA franchise that's famous in the first place, so when/if Nintendo buys up SEGA, we still wouldn't see much SEGA characters, just more Sonic reps and maybe Bayonetta, but how it would affect Sonic and SEGA All Stars? Eh, I'm not sure.

I just want some more reps from older Sega games.
Like the Ooze, maybe Comix Zone, throw in Altered Beast, Hang-On, and Atomic Runner.
It's not like they can't. They just go with who's popular nowadays sadly (and I still won't forgive them for cutting the ChuChus).

So, there is this game called "Orion" something or other

and there are dinosaurs in it

Anyway...

There are Dilophosaurus in the game

and they made them more realistic by having no frills

BUT THEY STILL SPIT STUFF

WTF are you going to take the spitting from Jurassic Park but not the frills?

If you are going to be inaccurate, you might as well go all the way and make them look awesome while being inaccurate

Why did Sega lose the console war against Nintendo?
Because of the Super Nintendo forcing SEGA to create varies peripherals in order to compete with it, like the Sega CD and Sega 32X. Both flopped and it cause a negative reception with SEGA.
Because of the SEGA Saturn's flopped marketing ploys, and the competition with the Sony Playstation and Nintendo 64.
Because of the SEGA Dreamcast being trampled by the Playstation 2.

Hell, just say the Playstation brand killed of SEGA and call it a day.

I did some surfing on Deviant Art a few months back and found this. I thought since Yoshi has a chance of being revealed during the direct, I might share it.

You're right, I would like to play as the Sega 32x in the next All Star Racers game. It's car could be a Sega Genesis on wheels. When it turns into a plane it's wings could be Sega CDs.

Well, people say the games matter... didn't Sega CD, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast have games that could have helped them or were they not good enough?

The Sega Saturn and Dreamcast had some pretty well-received games. Though I think the Saturn simply didn't have as many as the PS1 and N64. 32X was probably the least favorite of the whole bunch to be honest. It had like, what 3 or 4 good games? Not entirely sure why the Dreamcast failed. It had a lot of potential, but the PS2 was just that much more popular I suppose. Still, Sega was in the red for quite some time, so I can see that as a factor too.

So, I was able to play a bit of VVVVVV.

And I'll just say it's deceptively simple.
Somehow being able to be ridiculously hard using only three buttons.

I don't get it...Did I miss something?
It featured the Nintendo DSi earlier.

I would like to forget VVVVVV ever existed. Thank you... hundreds of deaths...

I think it's about time Kamek got his due in MK. I mean he was all set to appear 7 games ago and still hasn't shown up.
I'm expecting to see

Kamek
Hammer Bro
Nabbit
Prof. E. Gadd
Cranky Kong
Ashley/Mona/Jimmy T./9-Volt (or a Kat & Ana duo would be nice)
Mini Mario/Pauline

Would like to see:
Baby Yoshi
Baby Rosalina
Donkey Kong Jr
Koopa Kid
Everyone from Diddy Kong Racing
Boo
Ant Troopers
ROB
Boom Boom & Pun Pun

I personally really like the Saturn. Racing games, fighting games, rail shooters, and some great platformers.I think it really depends on the genres you like to play. The Saturn was very arcade centered (it actually emulated arcade games for the most part). As for the ps1 and n64 that's when home console type games really broke through.
Sega missed the mark thinking arcade style games was where it was at.

However there are a few Saturn classics including NiGHTs, Panzer Dragoon, and virtua fighter.
