Mario Kart 8 just went from a "probably gonna buy" to "BUY ASAP!"

Why is Nintendo so bad at hyping Mario when the release date is so far away, but so good when the release date is close?

there not the best at ads like with Mario 3d world looked average at first and the second trailer went to ok i have to play that.

The 3ds Stage is Chapter 11 in Uprising, the debut of Viridi, and appears after the Reset Bomb explodes. I don't think she's gonna be leaving that position. Plus Palutena has first priority to being KI's 2nd rep (if there will be one), and that can't be denied.

Not only does Viridi not play as big a role as Palutena, but it makes no logical sense to have Hades, let alone Thanatos use Viridi's Reset Bombs.

Mario Kart 8 is starting to look even better. Glad to see Shy Guy playable, the new tracks are amazing, some of my favorite tracks are back with some fantastic redesigning, and the new items are fresh and look really fun.

Can't say I'm happy to see Baby Daisy back though...not at all.

I swear if Baby Rosalina finally becomes a thing, AND King Boo doesn't return...

Palutena's been in all 3 KI games and has had major roles in each. Not even Medusa has been in all of em. Honestly, she's the 2nd most important KI character imo, after Pit of course.
Besides, we don't even get to see physically see Viridi much besides the idol and image of her after that Reset Bomb. The rest is just chatter with the other characters.

Based on the KI stages we have now, it's Palutena's Temple and Ch.11. Hades does not make a physical appearance in either. He does join the conversations in the former, but that's it.

Long story short, Palutena WILL be the 2nd KI rep (if there's one) unless proven wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I really want to see Jr. back too, especially now that the Koopalings are in as well. He's one of my favorite Mario characters.

But King Boo is my Mario Kart Wii main, and, tbh, I like him more than Bowser Jr. as a character. I've had so many online races using King Boo in MKWii. He's the one I want to see return more than all other characters not yet revealed.

I finished Snake Eater again yesterday and currently i'm playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I can't wait untill Ice Cap Zone!

Glad to see Lakitu, Metal Mario and Shy Guy are all back in Mario Kart 8.

So far, this is the confirmed roster: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Toad, Toadette, Koopa Troopa, Wario, Waluigi (WAA), Rosalina, the 7 Koopalings (the best additions to the roster), Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Shy Guy, Lakitu and Metal Mario.

A total of 27 characters.

To have the Mario Kart 7 roster complete, they'd need to reveal Honey Queen and Wiggler. To have the Mario Kart Wii roster complete, they'd need to reveal Dry Bones, Dry Bowser, Funky Kong, King Boo, Birdo and Bowser Jr. To have the Double Dash!! roster complete, they need to reveal Bowser Jr., Birdo, Koopa Paratroopa, King Boo and Petey Piranha. Of course, I'm positive most (if not all) of those characters will be in the game, some of them might be unlockable or something.

So far, this game's roster looks like a mix of the MKWii and MK7 rosters, with the Koopalings being new characters.

Still disappointed that there was no character, but today's update was cool.
Giving Pikachu's Thunder meteor smash properties might (or will, rather) buff him quite a lot.

I also just found out (through here) that there was a new Mario Kart trailer last night/this morning.

That Rainbow Road course shown at the end... holy... Everything is so damn beautiful.

Well it seems kind of obvious what the 8 will do. Given what the 7 had done in the previous game. I do want to know what that Horn looking thing will do though. Seems like it could make use of the gamepad, since this time the touch screen has kind of horn on it.

Mario Kart 8 is worth buying for HD Mario Kart 64 Rainbow Road alone, nevermind all the other great stuff they're stuffing into it. I'm hoping the last three characters are actually good instead of hurr durr like Honey Queen. I love for Kamek to finally get into Mario Kart.

I would assume that Diddy Kong is coming back for Mario Kart 8. But I guess if I had to choose another character it'd be E.Gadd, he was alright in my book. Maybe they can throw in a Hammer bro too.
