I've stopped taking Game Informer serious a few years ago, especially since they felt to need to rate a great game like Sonic Generations a 6.5/10. Ironically, it's because they were reminded of the times Sonic went downhill in the Dreamcast and Modern Era. The gameplay was perfected at least and there were few flaws unlike most Sonic games (the final boss and confusing plot).

Eh, speculation is good and all, but the thing is that we've been waiting for these games to be released. Ever since E3 2011, Smash 4 speculation began with possible new features, newcomers, veterans and things like that. Same in 2012. In 2013, speculation increased a bit more because of the reveal trailer of the games. Now, the 3DS version is coming out soon in Japan, so Smash 4 speculation will end..at least on the character side. I honestly doubt DLC will be included because..well, did the developers want to make the games as complete as possible.

If you play Sonic games for the plot, you're gonna fall in a lot of holes.

Yes, the story was good, that's fine. Gen 5 was the story generation. I treat Pokémon as a competitive turn-based game, and that means that the story doesn't matter to me. The story's just there for players to get into the game.

That's true. People who make reviews are giving their opinions. Reviewers are giving their opinion on games. Take IGN as an example, them saying Yoshi's New Island is not good is simply an opinion. There are people who like the game regardless of its score. When it comes to games like Sonic 06, then a lot of people will agree that the game is bad.

The only things I liked was a quite a few lovely designed Pokemon "complimented by a lot of bad ones", and the music. A surprisingly good soundtrack.

Challenge Mode, Assist Mode, White Treehollow/Black Tower, the Key system, Join Avenue, Pass Powers, Funfest Missions, Online features (before it was taken down), etc. That's more then really any other Post-Game in the series aside from maybe HGSS if you count Kanto.

IGN in a nutshell: Praising Xbox and PlayStation games and covering news on those consoles, and neglecting Nintendo-related stuff, and let's not forget the Movies, Comics, and TV sections. IGN was good when it was a gaming-only site, but oh well, that's my opinion. I think they should make up a new site to cover those 3 topics. xD

It has been announced that a special stream is to be held on August 26th at 10pm JST (2pm BST, 9am EDT) called Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokémon Special on NicoNico. It is not known what this project is, whether it's a game, a new manga etc., but they say it's a surprising announcement. This stream will be hosted by Ayana Tsubaki & Bunbun-maru and features special guests Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of The Pokémon Company, as well as Nobuhiko Okamoto & Aoi Yuuki, who voiced Iris in the anime, and two currently unknown special guests. We'll provide details as soon as possible.

Calling it, gigantic anime news or a new game, most likely new game.
