Given all the information we know, he might very well be an assist trophy this time around.
Just because there's a Wario-series assist trophy doesn't mean he'll be back as a fighter; Mr. Resetti was in Brawl and Villager wasn't playable until the next game. In fact, I see nothing that will prove me wrong. What if he ends up being a Wario-Man assist trophy?

Speaking of Neku and Phoenix Wright, I feel just like Ray-Man, that they will both get trophies. Chrono also has a shot at this.

My siblings have TWP, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker and I just haven't played them. They don't look like a type of game I'd be into.

If Wario is an assist trophy, certain leaks about Wario not returning as a veteran make sense (not that leaks are things to be religiously following).

Awesome! Now we may be getting somewhere. We may finally know if Medli and ARYLL will be in, we may have answers about those bosses being playable, and Sakurai may reveal Ganondorf that day.
