It sucks too, because now that we've grown tired of Mario through the terrible "New" Super Mario Bros, masterpieces like
Super Mario 3D World are completely overlooked.

Eh, I don't see anything in the rule books that say we can't get a veteran and a newcomer back-to-back. Even if the veteran would end up being shafted to a degree, since everyone would likely talk about the new character instead.

Well, I know he ends up having one or two pictures with every character revealed. But other than that, the last one I remember was with Zelda.

Honestly, I didn't mind the first one. Heck I could go as far as say it was original. But then they just started to release sequel after sequel. It got tiring.
