Your point? I want the older games that never got to see the light of day, internationally (*cough*Gaiden*cough*), to be reintroduced with updated visuals but the same core mechanics. None of that Pair up trash that broke Awakening.

Those users know nothing. The story and gameplay is a big improvement compared to Awakening. It's just the MyCastle features that bring mixed opinions.

I know nothing about Fire Emblem and I don't want to.

For one, I've never liked the medieval theme. It's a thing that I hate since I was a child. For some odd reason, I hate those type of stuff. I like some ideas of it, like knight and magic, but I don't like the theme overall. It's really just me, but it's already a big factor for me to not play it. Heck, it's one of the reasons I don't play "PL VS PW" in general, the medieval is not interresting and very cringey for me. Personal opinion, so disagree with me if you want.

Second, strategic games are not my thing. I like puzzle games, point and clicks or other stuff like that, but I'm not a fan of strategy games. To prove my point, I died on the tutorial level of the remake of the FE with Marth in it, if I remember correctly, or something near the beginning. I'm bad at those type games.

And finally, all the stuff I heard about the new Fire Emblem games makes me reject it even more. It starts looking way too "classic fanservice anime for weeabs" than anything else. And I hate this type of things. Plus, I don't think I'll ever be interrested of "shipping" characters together, since apparently that's what marriage is.

So yeah, that's why I don't play FE. It's just not my type of game. It's like the Zelda series. I know the games are excellent, it's just not my type of game, so I can't really play them. It's dumb, but that's my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

It seems to be an all-around improvement from Awakening - story, gameplay, AND fanservice ()

Isn't Roy considered to be one of the worst protagonist of the whole series ? So...I dunno, maybe include that factor in.

Lol, I won't. I respect your opinion regarding FE. In my case, Pokémon isn't my type of game, so I suck at it all day. I ain't even able to play it at basic levels.

Also i really need to play one day the two Fire Emblem with Ike in it. They seem the more intersting and easy for me to get into with the Death-Permanent mechanic. (I played Awakening in Casual and not in Classic mode, yeah i know, shame on myself etc etc.)

I will say that I was strongly against the marriage mechanics and the Summer Scramble DLC for most of pre-release Awakening.

I still don't like them but at least the story and gameplay are given an equal amount of love this time around.

I'm kinda getting into FE (thanks based FE8), and I could care less about the fanservice.
My interest in Fates, as a whole, goes right into the multiplayer/Wi-Fi doors. Time to get those 2nd gen units.

Try FE7, FE8 or FE9. They are the best entry points in the series, as well as agreed to be the best in the series too.
