People who were expecting a roster the size of Smash 4, or even Brawl or MELEE, were bound to be disappointed IMO. That's never the norm for a brand new fighting game as far as rosters are concerned, barring rare outliers.

People who were expecting a roster the size of Smash 4, or even Brawl or MELEE, were bound to be disappointed IMO. That's never the norm for a brand new fighting game as far as rosters are concerned, barring rare outliers.

Plus, arcade releases tend to have less characters than home versions.

This is an arcade game, so of course, it was [obviously] going to have a limited amount of characters to play as. Unless they release a Wii U version or whatever people are clamoring for, I don't see the roster expanding.

Smashboards has always been pretty chill, and most mod "drama' was just mild complaining or poking fun (we had few bad apples, they got sorted).

Neogaf is the hive of scum and villainy. But what can you expect from a forum with such strict rules of joining? Elitism runs wild, and the place is only ever good for getting news, nothing more.

I do think that having 8 initially is a bit on the low side, but I agree that thinking it'd be even close to Melee was stretching it.

Joining NeoGAF is such a complicated mess. I tried doing it once, but the site apparently demanded me to use paid email services in order to do so.

To be fair the forums I came doesn't even have moderators,on the topic o Iwata passing,we had bunch of pieces of human waste who flooded the topic with stupid gif spam saying they didn't give a ****,these posts are there until today.
