Curious, why would Sakurai include Lucas as DLC, considering Ness has Lucas's move set as customs?

Why would Sakurai include Lucina when she has the exact same moves and animations as Marth?

Why would Sakurai include Dark Pit when you can barely tell him apart from Pit?

Why would Sakurai include Dr. Mario when he's just Mario in a lab coat?

Hyrule Warriors sold me on Impa as her own character, with that giant-arse sword of hers. But realistically, she has best chances as a Sheik clone, which makes me sad.

I'm going to use what they did to Ganondorf as an example of them NOT using anything from Hyrule Warriors

- The game has files that imply the existence of a second page of characters and stages on their respective selection screens.
- Strings dictate the existence of downloaded stages.
- Strings mention the existence of an online shop.
- For the Internet section, there's an unused menu icon.

In other words, this game is DLC-ready, so to speak.

I agree since it's seems very fishy. While Pandora's Tower wasn't that bad, it definitely had more flaws unlike the Last Story. Though it is one of the few games to make me lose my lunch over a bad ending. *shudders*

You missed the point completely. Marth and Lucina have the same specials, customs, and final smash.

What's the issue with Lucas sharing moves with Ness, when he already did so previously?

Besides, all of Lucas' other attacks were unique, so he was barely a clone to begin with.

This is a great opportunity for Lucas to receive a more canon move set.Lucas was one of my mains in Brawl, try not to kill me guys, just asking a question. Not against Lucas.

To my knowledge, nope.

Could still be a possibility, though. The more obvious things for now are characters and stages, thanks to the unused icons for second pages. The stages even more so thanks to the string that mentions downloaded stages.

Of the three clones, Lucina is the most identical to the basis. Her only differences from Marth are the lack of the sword tip, dealing the same amount of damage regardless of where she hits with the sword, and lesser range. Her custom specials and Final Smash are the same as Marth's.

Dark Pit's moves have different proprieties from Pit's. Overall, he's slower but also deals more damage. His Electroshock Arm differs from Pit's Upperdash Arm, sending foes diagonally instead of upwards. His Silver Bow fires stronger arrows but are harder to control. He has a different Final Smash. Some of his custom moves are also different from Pit, if I'm not mistaken.

Dr. Mario has the Tornado instead of FLUDD, as well as a different down aerial move. In many aspects, he's basically pre-Brawl Mario. His Megavitamins differ from Mario's Fireballs when it comes to trajectory and bouncing proprieties and his moves overall have different proprieties. If I'm not mistaken, he's slightly slower than Mario.

All clones share the same weight as their counterpart. All clones have different victory animations and taunts.

I always thought it would be cool if we get a stage from Luigi's Mansion but the stage represents its own series (that being Luigi's Mansion). In addition, we get King Boo representing the LM series (so, based on his design in that game) as well. Not saying that's gonna happen, but for some reason I'd prefer King Boo under LM than the Mario series (I guess kinda a similar case to Yoshi and Wario).
