When I remember that Normal Deoxys has awful defenses and M-Ray can overkill it easily

....anyway, I had to switch into my shiny Metagross to use Hold Back and eat the Psycho Boosts, it only took me 5 Ultra Balls but, man that battle is pure stress.

That's my main complaint with it. Also terrible type distribution and uninteresting designs.

When I say I love gen 4, it's because I really, really like it sorta love. It reignited my love for pokemon as a whole, I've probably played through Diamond, Pearl and Platinum more times combined than any other main gen games, and I played on Pearl for nearly 500 hours. I dunno why I liked it so much, the soundtrack was amazing, most of the new pokemon including the evolutions were fantastic, and team galactic are probably my favourite antagonists. I also liked the rival, Barry, and the overall style of them was great, from the towns to the battle interface, and Platinum improved more than Emerald, Crystal and BW2 did on the originals. I can see the faults in the games, but they did so many things that the series needed. OH AND THAT PHYSICAL/SPECIAL SPLIT IS THE BEST INNOVATION IN THE ENTIRE SERIES!!!!!!!!

Rivals are supposed to challenge you. In X/Y Serena's entire team was taken out by my under-leveled Snorlax. Not very challenging at all.

Edit: Snorlax might just be too OP.

I don't really have a "favorite" generation, I pretty much liked them all. Younger me would've most likely said Gen 2 but the only reason I love that one over the others is because Gold was my first pokemon game.

I'll admit, I didn't really like what they did with the rival. I can't remember everything (since I have not played X/Y in forever), but I do remember them making it to where it was like Pokemon was making you feel bad for winning all the time.
Then again, at least Serena/Calem had some form of a personality, which I can't say for the other rivals.

@ Frostwraith Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is one of my favorite Kirby games. You should definitely check out more Kirby games while you're at it!

Also definitely try out Pikmin 3, it is soooooo good.
