But was Salamence not the whipping boy of the "Im kinda a legendary but not really dragon club"? I remember reading up that the other dragon types curb stomped it in effectiveness and thus a buff was given.

I hope they use the fairy type to make some fairy tale type pokemon. Like werewolves. That seems like the perfect use for the typing.

Im gonna be honest. That looks like the result of a superhero game that lets you create your own customizable character.

I think DC Universe allowed you to do something like that... I don't remember if you could use a paper-bag for a helmet. Oh, and there's Saints Row which is wacky as hell; it sort of counts with Saints Row IV.

Indeed, Salamence lost viabilty because its low defenses and the Fairy typing made it even more worse, forcing people to use Special Oriented movesets (okay in coverage but meh in power), and with its new Mega it can slam opponents with Aerilate and tank some hits with that good 130/95 defenses.

A lot of the redesigns in the New 52 make little sense. Namely Harley Quinn and Lobo.

Salamence getting one makes more sense then Garchomp, it was struggling quite a bit in XY, so the boost was much appreciated.

I still have dreams for a Mega Luxray.

As good as a Mega Dragonite or Flygon sound, I'm kind of sceptical that they won't end up looking like... poop.
The designs for mega's have been extremely hit and miss so far (Mega Manectric looks dumb while Mega Ampharos is one of the most amazing things ever).

I found that bright pink hilarious, probably the guys at Game Freak did that to add a downside to such monstrous dragon.

If that's true I'll actually consider getting an upgrade for SNES and or GBA games on my 3DS. But it should work for the normal 3DS.
