Agreed. The GameCube controller is not the only way to play Smash. You can even play with the DK Bongos in Smash Wii U (http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/2mfm3e/breaking_news_dk_bongos_work_with_smash_wii_u/). The Wii U Pro Controller and 3DS play just fine on the game with no input lag.

The problem with the DK Bongos, outside of Donkey Konga & Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, is EXTREMELY limited.

You only have 8 legit GameCube Controller buttons on the Bongos: A, B, X, Y, R, & Start.

Both sticks, D-Pad, L, & Z are completely absent.

But I LOVE playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with the DK Bongos (via Wii homebrew)

Well, it has no control stick. Your character is just there without moving.
At least they can attack by using special moves. Or shield by clapping.

Oh trust me, even with nostalgia, crap is still crap. It's not like nineties kids look at something like Atari Jaguar and call it the best thing ever made.

Sure you'll have a couple people, but most likely they're doing it for the sake of boasting.

Yeah, but you loose the bucket which btw, I noticed that the best way to win with G&W is to not tell what the bucket does...

Result, your opponents gets ko pretty quickly if his name is mega man or energy projectile users...so satisfying

THE AURA! Edge guard for days! Your Link is pretty scary too! But oh man when you spiked yourself with your meteor bombs on my aura sphere twice and KO'd yourself, that just killed me lol
