I did some calculations related to this thread in the DR, so I might as well post my findings here:

Out of curiosity, I did some calculations related to Smash 4 Social 6.0.

1) First, I looked at the overall rate of posts/day:

Right now, there are 70019 posts
The thread has run since July 30th to December 8th (based on my time zone)

That's 2 + 31 + 30 + 31 +30 + 8 = 132 days​

Resulting in a rate of 70018/132 = 530.44696969696969696969696969697 = 531 posts per day​

2) Next, I looked at the overall rate of posts/day before and after Hylian's post on page 1080:

The rate until Hylian's post (#43195) on August 31, 2015

2 + 31 = 33 days​

Until that point we had a rate of 43195/33 = 1308.9393939393939393939393939394 = 1309 posts per day​

After Hylian's post (#43196 onwards)

30 + 31 + 30 + 8 = 99 days​

70019 - 43196 = 26823 posts​

It is a rate of 26823/99 = 270.93939393939393939393939393939 = 271 posts/day​

3) Then, I looked at how the Bluening affected the Social Thread.
I chose this as a starting point because this was the first mention of gifting and someone in the thread receiving said gift. And then I selected this post to mark the end of the Bluening because that's when Chucklehead said he was done with gifting (though premium was still gifted sporadically after that)
Here are the results:

The start of the Bluening (#58184)
The end of the Bluening (#61873)

From after Hylian's Post (#43196) on September 1st to the start of the Bluening (#58184) on October 7th

58184 - 43196 = 14988 posts​

30 + 7 = 37 days​

14988/37 = 405.08108108108108108108108108108 = 406 posts/day​

From the end of the Bluening (#61873) on October 17th to the present (#70019)

70019 - 61873 = 8146 days​

14 + 30 + 8 = 52 days​

8146/52 = 156.65384615384615384615384615385 = 157 posts/day​

This is a crude estimate because not all of the posts during the Bluening were relevant. Also, the beginning and end posts are disputable.

157 posts/day might still seem pretty high to some though. This could be attributed to the Nintendo Direct that caused a surge in activity. If I have time later, I will try to calculate the rate without the skewing caused by Cloud and the Direct.

I'm planning to do a Premium-ready remake of the avatar I'm using right now sometime this month. It was originally made in August 2014. I'll be primarily using it on my YouTube and DeviantArt accounts. As for Smashboards, I'll go back to this one later.

I also want to branch out from making just avatars when it comes to digital art, but I don't really know when that'll happen.
